If you turn on the flash, you can even see how much the green glitter in the holo on my index finger pops out to match the spine of the book

Why didn’t they do this a week ago. Wait we know why

Every couple days I get on Indeed to apply to jobs and have to hide 75 ai related job postings that I’d rather burn at the stake than apply for

He explicitly said he wouldn’t get the US into a war Now if you believed that, idk what went wrong with your brain, but he explicitly said that multiple times. He lied

Extremely valid

The bad news though is that when they die, new ones just take their place There’s a consolation prize in there, anyway

I haven’t seen almost anything at all that suggests meaningful resistance from a significant number of establishment dems and in fact a portion of establishment dems are actively voting along with the right
comment in response to post
Stop, slow, find minor wins, meaningfully show constituents they’re doing everything they can… Anyway yeah I literally voted for these people to do that, they told me it was critically important that I voted for them so they could do it, so it would be great if they would do that

Oh I’m gonna use this, this is good

I VOTED FOR KAMALA. WE’RE STILL HERE.
comment in response to post
I guess I should’ve not said a word at all, voted silently, not expressed any dissent, and now that they’re in office just expect them to know how I feel without saying it, and we’d still be in the exact same position. How do YOU not see the difference way this doesn’t work
comment in response to post
Literally every time one of you freaks says this shit it’s “WHY DIDNT YOU VOTE HARDER” I have one vote. I used it. Don’t yell at me, maybe yell at your ~stupid~ candidates who don’t want/know how to appeal to anyone left of Bush. Oh wait, we’re not allowed to yell at them
comment in response to post
I love being called stupid 2 steps into a conversation lol Well I guess we all better roll over and give up now then because we’re SOL and representative democracy doesn’t work 💃🏼
comment in response to post
So just to be clear, we’re saying that because the dems have just under half of the seats in house and senate, there’s literally nothing they can do to stop a slide into fascism How on earth would our system have functioned in any form for centuries if that’s how it was supposed to work
comment in response to post
The thing is I voted for those people explicitly so they’d drive the bus and I don’t know how to drive the bus so I was kind of banking on them being able to drive the bus when I helped them get elected as bus driver
comment in response to post
If the 60+ year old career politicians who’ve been in office for 40 years don’t know how to fix this and I don’t know how to fix this then who’s driving the bus
comment in response to post
Literally already doing that too

Bro just stop replying what are you on

I voted for Kamala. But I’m glad you’re slavering to hate ME because I said “hey can the people I voted for in the hopes they’d do something about this do something about this,” that feels really good and productive
comment in response to post
I literally voted for Kamala. Begone.

You’re right. Let’s have a press conference about convening a committee to discuss ideas for proposing solutions about the situation. Maybe if the polls say enough people don’t want genocide, they’ll stop it. Wait the polls already say that. Uh oh
comment in response to post
Yeah, see, I’m not one of the very small number of people specifically elected to this government to know what to do. I don’t have a detailed plan drawn up for what to do when shit in government goes sideways. I’m not in government. I voted for these people to do that.

Do you think that the other half of congress just… up and vanishes the second they’re outnumbered? What do you suppose they SHOULD be doing? Twiddling thumbs, playing card games?

Due for a new option very soon

My mother has gone for a walk every night after dinner for like, probably at least the last 7 years, and I cannot keep up with her anymore. She puts me to shame. She’s the fastest walker I know. It’s still a 17-min mile

yeah, need buy in from the whole spectrum. Many different sizes and shapes of action are needed. Some of those are protests I’d take my grandma to and some of them are protests I’d definitely not take my grandma to and many of them aren’t protests at all
comment in response to post
For sure. You need “violent” protest just as much as you need nonviolent protest, which is to say, you do indeed need both
comment in response to post
Damnit, Nana and the grandkids should be able to take part in political demonstrations sometimes too
comment in response to post
No matter how heavy you are on the “be gay do crimes” thing, surely every now and then we gotta have a demonstration that is not about doing crimes

The text on the hat looks about as real as the ms paint letters on that guy’s tattoos, but now that you say that it does make sense

wtf is going on with this weird stock photoshop job

They want to pretend that Trump won in this massive landslide but the reality is he’s a lame duck that’s getting lamer and more unpopular every day. He’s pissed off huge swaths of his own constituency and Peepaw and Meemaw showed up to protest that today in this red rural county. ✌️✌️✌️

Columbia canceled my class on Race and Media, but I'm teaching it anyway. All thanks to people power and community support-- especially from you all on Bluesky! Happy to announce I'll be teaching Race Media and International Affairs 101 online-- hosted by D.C.'s MLK Jr. Memorial Library!
