Ah ok. Are you going to try and publish it elsewhere? A colleague mentioned about the publication option for teaching related things to me once and that it can be much easier to achieve than scientific research outputs.

Great read. Although I'm left wondering why inorganic C is left out of sediment C burial calculations? In some waterbodies with high pH, and some soils, this leads to direct CO2 uptake from the atmosphere where it undergoes the chemical transformation (precipitate into carbonates). Any ideas?

Hi! My research focuses on aquatic GHGs and biogeochemistry in human-made waters, often featuring those in agricultural catchments. My last couple of projects have looked at the C footprint of farm dams, irrigation canals, and ditches. I sound like I'm on team carbon, but my favourite GHG is N2O

This paper features widespread N2O sinks, soil+water quality drivers of CH4, highly productive waters and importantly, new data for artificial aquatic ecosystems!

Until now, irrigation farm dams/ponds in semi-arid regions presented a major data gap in GHG emission accounting. This has been a bit of a passion project for me since 2021 and I have since had a baby and all. So it is a good feeling to get this data published.
