He is a weak leader and for that reason, it's easier to appease the rich and powerful than to help solve the problems of the poorest in society.
Add to that the increasing influence and power of the SPADS and it's a recipe for disaster.

The by-election campaign was awful. It smacked of the tories' previous campaigns against SNP.
