Most who supported Corbyn recognised his flaws but did so because he was a decent person, had policies we agreed with and was the best chance for an anti-austerity government in our lifetimes. 'Sensibles' call that cult-like because believing in anything other than self-advancement is alien to them.

In 2017 Labour under Corbyn achieved 262 seats, 12,877,918 votes and a 40% national vote share. That is 258 seats, 11,036,030 votes and 33.6% more than the Greens have ever achieved. It is also a higher number of votes and vote share than Labour achieved in 2024. As a Green, I'd take that any day.

I thought the aim was to expand the party into a more relevant national force? Attracting new supporters from the left can help to win more seats and further Green objectives.

Greens. The Lib Dems are an economically rightwing party.

If you were genuinely curious and not just trolling, you could do a little background reading on the topic rather than asking random people on the internet. www.apa.org/topics/lgbtq...

Zack Polanski is trans supportive and is well worth voting for in the Green leadership election.

left-wing, insurgent iconoclast who can expose him for the grifter he is and offer people a real and positive alternative to the status quo. That is why I urge people to join the Green Party, vote for Zack Polanski in this summer's leadership election and build a movement for a future we can all 5/

eco-populism that prioritises people, communities and the planet above vested corporate interests. The current Green Party leadership, despite some good intentions, do not have the forthrightness, conviction or cut-through to harness this moment as needed. Farage must be countered by a 4/

That makes no sense. Step 1: vote for a party in favour of FPTP - Step 2: ???? - Step 3: No more FTPT Set up parties and then don't vote for them because it isn't 'tactical'? Tactical voting is the refuge of self declared 'sensibles' who aren't as smart or as progressive as they think they are.

So how do you get rid of FPTP when voting for a party that wants to keep it? What is the plan for causes like opposing genocide, the climate, fighting austerity/poverty/inequality/corporate lobbying, taxing wealth, redistribution, supporting the disabled, defending immigrants/refugees, LGBTQ rights?
comment in response to post
I'd support tactical voting in limited circumstances. I'm a Green but would vote left wing independent/SNP/PC if they had the best chance of winning in my area to further progressive causes. I wouldn't vote Labour as they're not a progressive party and there is no justification in supporting them.
comment in response to post
Tactical voting is voting for a party that knows they don't have to address your concerns or values as you will vote for them regardless. They use FPTP to make you vote for them to 'stop the Tories/Reform' while they are free to move both themselves and the Overton window ever further to the right.
comment in response to post
'Tactical' voting is a poor strategy and only service to help keep FPTP and our failed socioeconomic system in place.

Considering the extent to which Labour mimics Reform rhetoric and policies... Vote Labour Get Reform
