Itā€™s a different guy! I also got this mixed up with James SA Corey, thatā€™s how I found it. Havenā€™t done Mercy of gods yet but I finished the Expanse last year and had a blast. Would recommend for Star Trek fans. Itā€™s different enough but has some of that hard sci fi we all love

This was a great intro to Cosby and the genre. I thought Iā€™d sussed it by the third chapter and was glad that I was wrong as it made it worth it. Some very good character work and compelling story. Iā€™d recommend for fans of True Detectives tv show āļøāļøāļøāļø

Iā€™m about 20% in and really enjoying it. Hope you like it too

I have this issue for sure but I try and tell myself itā€™s a good problem to have. As long as youā€™re enjoying what youā€™re doing I donā€™t think thereā€™s such thing as too much reading!

If you havenā€™t carried on with Bloodsworn I am happy to say that once youā€™ve got all the names down in Shadow of the Gods thereā€™s no massive influx of characters in the other books. Iā€™m hoping itā€™s the same with FFATF

I feel like this book meandered to its conclusion and was not very satisfying, I found myself asking ā€œwhat exactly is the author trying to say here?ā€ and not really coming to any meaningful conclusion (2/2) šŸ“ššŸ’™

Yes definitely, I want to see if I feel the same way with book 2 or if doesnā€™t have the same problems as most introductions have happened now. I have high hopes as most of my problems stem from the first 200 pages

Itā€™s taken a while but Iā€™m getting into this now Iā€™m approaching halfway

If you want long look no further than the wandering innā€¦ I havenā€™t personally read/ listened to but have seen people rave about it and itā€™s very long

I have so much I could say about this. It would be a perfect book club pick

Potentially going to finish one more before the years end (Misery by Stephen King- itā€™s great so far).

What a great cover! Never read Herbert but definitely want to. Is this a good place to start?

Very lucky šŸ˜ thank you for the recommendation

You totally should. Each book builds nicely onto the prior one, bigger stakes/ more characters introduced

First Law and Memory Sorrow and Thorn are also series I need to finish šŸ˜… sounds like youā€™ve got a great year of reading ahead of you

Oh dude youā€™re telling me! I finished Wheel of Time and the Expanse this year. Iā€™m trying to stay away from big series for a while but Malazan is looming

So bittersweet! I totally understand wanting to clear the decks with series. Itā€™s too easy to start a dozen book 1s and not actually finish anything

What a fantastic list of books. Some of these are on my 2025 list too. 11:22:63 and Lonesome dove are two Iā€™m planning on doing asap

Do it. Itā€™s nice and short, quite unique and a good palate cleanser between big reads

I might need to get the very hungry caterpillar out

Thanks! Ah but the numbers donā€™t really mean anything. If youā€™re enjoying what youā€™re reading then thatā€™s all that matters

30ish % through and this is great! The style is very visual, I can see this definitely making a great series or film
