Move out to stay with a friend? Tell the ICE enforcer to leave? Make dinner with undercooked meat left in the sun?

People were in camps for years before the first gas chamber. Dachau opened in 1933.

Man they could fucking execute people in the street and you’d be like “WHY ARE YOU MAD ABOUT THIS WHAT THEY WERE DOING WAS ALREADY UNACCEPTABLE”

Her take on housing policy after being elected was "I've never really thought about it". So I can believe that!

You're trying to change the subject.. What a gross account.

What a load of shit. When you take prisoners, keeping them fed and alive is the *expected* behavior. Hamas didn't do it, and Israel isn't doing it. Leaders of both groups should be in jail.

My little sister used to have ~100% random selection. Her guess was that she was being used to manipulate data about the "average" selectee.

I have no reason to believe they are mostly accurate when there are cases like this, with clear alternative causes, that get doctors swearing in court that there is no chance it was caused by anything except the parent abusing the baby. And that’s just the first google result.

Not really - “research began to show that many of the same symptoms associated with [abusive head trauma] could also occur from short falls, as well as a wide range of naturally occurring medical conditions and accidental traumas“ www.texastribune.org/2024/10/17/r...

Something I don’t understand: Sharon says “In some cases, when we tried to get someone evicted, the response we get is 'This person will become homeless, or this person has a mental health issue.'” Who are they getting this response from? What existing law is it based on?

Literally nothing you said is relevant to the claim that electing trump is good. Still just a shit take.

Fucking hell, psycho Americans literally talk about Howard and Nauru as an inspiration. “We’re all good people but America made us do it” Christ.
comment in response to

You personally are happy to see the rest of the world fucked over if it benefits you. Are you blaming America for your entire character?

No “they” won’t be fine, you selfish fuck - I literally just explained that there’s already a giant death toll. America wasn’t dragging Australia into shit, Australians re-elected Howard and have shit all over Papua and Timor all by themselves.

“Good user experience” is not measured in cookies and requests. Less focus on the technology, more on the impact.

Even Dutton couldn’t have been as damaging to the world as Trump is. It’s revolting to celebrate his election.

If Trump and co were removed now, they would still have caused an extra half a million people to die of HIV/AIDS alone. If he lasts four years, the cumulative deaths caused by his actions will likely be over 10million. www.thelancet.com/journals/lan...

I mean, that’s certainly a good thing, but trump is terrible for the rest of the world including Australia. It’s like celebrating that the neighbor kid got killed by a speeding car and the speed bumps that got put in afterwards make your kid safer.

Because they paid her to be there, probably. And as she says in the article, she’s unemployed right now.

You have literally never met a lawyer or a linguist, have you. The answer is “it depends what the meaning of ‘is’ is”
comment in response to

It absolutely is! In the same sense, there is a relationship between us.

Yea, I’m pretty sure your understanding of how to use the word does not match standard usage. The fact that you *have* this interpretation is not a contradiction to that.

Yes, but not in a relationship. Easy test for what it means: find a pair of homophobic MAGA dudes having a drink. Ask “how long have you two been in a relationship?”

ah. I think the non-friend asking is what makes it weird, but I'm biased bc we have a local politician who does this to anyone who asks about her work or criticizes her so that she doesn't have to put anything in writing.

Not quite - it’s to remove a specific median barrier so that if his kids still attended that school then he could turn left to drop them off.
