I like it cooked but once I had it raw "cooked" in lemon (like how ceviche works I guess?) at a sushi place and I nearly threw up on the spot from the texture lol

hahahaha nah I wouldn't at all, luckily my adhd masking during the pandemic turned into not noticing attention/being observed on any level whatsoever which is probably bad for situational awareness but great for self esteem

The afternoon presenter spoke about automatic and manual evaluation of MT and it reminded me to return to an old attempt at creating a useful error taxonomy for student feedback. It gave me ideas while also making me feel less crazy about the sheer time suck for language feedback

One of the case studies discussed today was very interesting, it was more about methodology but seeing some results about AI-produced "blog-style" recipes and how dramatically different the language is linguistically re: lexical density and concreteness compared to human text was fascinating
