Only just seeing this lol. What kind of a tap was it? In essence - why was there an issue turning it off? Surely he turned it on to begin with?

I mention this because it kinda sounded like I was saying I just bought one over the counter from a random store at the mall.

(I had a preorder)

Nah I woke up at the crack of dawn and waited for my local mall to open haha.

Certainly something I expected, but was very happy to finally see, was D1 read replicas. And something I was happy to hear was coming very soon was Cloudflare Containers. The eng team is really killing it with everything else announced too!

Awh. I remember the day I said farewell to mine as well. It wasn’t the convertible model but it was the same colour. I loved that car to bits. It was my first car I ever owned. Certainly hard to say goodbye.

This seems good for security ngl.

Still gets super laggy when navigating between pages though, right?

Please do not tell me I was having these issues before you were even born… 😭

It’s crazy that 16 years later we’re still having the same issues… It was 2009 when I had those issues. I would have assumed this wasn’t an issue anymore lol. But I suppose it’s still pretty early days for ARM on Windows.

I hope you get a new laptop soon! 🤞

There is nothing worse (IMO) than a boiling laptop that you have to rest your hands on all day, using me as a heatsink. To this day - I cannot stand using a hot laptop. Luckily that problem resolved itself when Apple Silicon came out.

I remember the third year some other people started using laptops. And by then they had started putting the Intel i5 into the MacBook Pro, and somebody I knew got one. I was initially so jealous, but then when I used his laptop one time - I felt how hot it was and the envy disappeared haha.

Made worse by having to close the lid and shove it into my backpack between classes. My parents were amazing, and even though they still couldn't afford it, the next year I got a MacBook Pro Intel Core 2 Duo - which would still get kinda hot, but it was sooo much better.

I distinctly remember the noise it would make. And I imagine it probably was a fair distraction to the other kids in my classes. Even though I only used it for one year, the battery would die half way through the day. Useless machine haha. That laptop would practically boil itself.

Reminds me of my first year of high school in New Zealand. At my school I was the only one who used a laptop, and my parents couldn't afford a Mac so I got a crappy Compaq Presario CQ60 running Windows Vista.

I’m still rocking an M1 Pro and have no current desire to upgrade tbh. Save yourself the money!

I'd also kidnap Steve Jobs and force him to get a liver transplant as soon as he was diagnosed

Yeah it was shockingly fast. And yeah I’m so curious what they’re using to determine location by IP - because I’ve never once experienced this sort of issue before haha.
comment in response to post
True. However I just got off a chat with support (who have now fixed the issue) - and it was due to their system thinking my IP address was located in the US lol. Very strange haha.
comment in response to post
[…] that I’ve logged into a new device, and that it’s in Santa Clara. Suuuuurely it’s my IP address. Time to contact support 🤦‍♂️

Haha, nah this is our family account 😜

Just wondering... in the article it mentions "a platform that only charges you for what you use (regardless of how long it takes)" - but that's not the model for Durable Objects (which is what sits beneath agents) right? Seems misleading. Am I missing something?

Oh and to answer your question - we were using MyRepublic (now 2degrees).

Ngl I actually really love generators, and async generators. Every time I get the chance to use them I always end up super happy with how it turns out.

Ikr I really want them to come here too. They’re available in Australia… so suuuurely they can make it happen for us lol 😂

I literally had this. But downgraded to 4 because… 8 was a bit OTT 😂

And like 4-7 rows full of toolbars obscuring that singular web page. Those were... not... the days 😅 Well... they were kinda fun. But luckily we came to our senses 😂

I did the same thing (took a week off work) when Hogwarts Legacy came out lol. Spent every day playing it, for most of the week. Was a good week haha!

Omg I've been wanting a place to rate movies I've watched in a single place! Thanks for bringing this site to my attention!
