Except that doomscrolling makes wish I were still drinking even more! So far, I'm distracting my brain with romance/romantasies, yarn, and fantasizing about home decor.

Yeah. And it's looking like 18-24 months before book 4.

Be forewarned (because I was not ๐คฃ) that it's a 5 book series and only 3 have been released. It could be a few years before we have the whole series!

That's why I just finished a re-read of the first two! I couldn't remember Iron Flame *at all*. It's the Hide and Peak pattern from Maxim Cyr for my husband ๐

I love a great pattern and will buy great patterns all day every day for... Everything because I'm not interested in self-drafting. But it is why I tend to stick to limited designers. I'm challenging myself to branch out this year.

Yes! Sure,*I* know how to manipulate a pattern to do what it should/what I need, but I'm not a new knitter. I know several test knitters who can and will do both - read and provide feedback from a new knitter perspective AND provide feedback on how they changed it to work.

Listening to Onyx Storm and starting my first stranded colorwork sweater!

But really. I'm uninterested in paying good money for shitty patterns, which definitely stops me from supporting new-to-me designers unless there are a good number of projects with commentary on the pattern.

And sometimes the designers are prolific and extremely popular and their patterns are still poorly written ๐ฌ

Rom-coms/romantasies and yarn are saving me. And searching for thrifted/used, reasonably priced Lego sets for Matty.

Huge HRT proponent over here! Life altering. But man, alcohol will bring back the night sweats and hot flashes so fast.

And why would you even want to be picked?!? I'd rather be alone and treat myself well than be chosen by an asshole and treated like property.

Maybe your disdain for lotion is catching up to you? Or you need to let me put leather elbow patches on all your shirts.

I mean, I do have brown hair and eyes but my smile isn't quite as irresistible. Sigh.

Didn't expect to have a crying day, had therapy and ended up having a crying day anyway. But I guess that's better than shutting down ๐
