We can all be heroes, no matter how frustr8td, depressed (etc.etc. just tear the miserable page out of a thesaurus and paste here), just do one nice thing every day, for no reason other than it will make you feel good! None of my mob is religious, we do good shit just 'cos we want to stir things up!

We have a problem. Who should be fixin' 'em! AND, while he's at it (couldn't a binna gurl, we (mostly) not mess wiv stuff like boy do) He c'n fix global warmin', th' weathr, th' 'conomy and th' waggon of them's damnable warmongers! (You know who u r! Misters P,N,&T). ['Pologies, couldn't resist 😂😁 ]

Yup, and again, we need to realize how that happened, who and why, in order to figure out some way of fixing it. The old methods were never much good, and definitely don't work at all now. The excuse, that 'democracy is the best system we've got, despite it's inherent flaws', is no longer valid.🤔

Too true, my gramps left the military in the 70's when he realized he wasn't on the side of the 'good guys'. He became a 'peacenik' and suffered for it. His legacy though, is our no-guns, kind, compassionate family. He campaigned to 'ban the bomb', with many others. Pity we can't 'ban the bullet'!

Hmm, who's fault is it that there is an awesome overburden of deranged, deluded, decitful, damaged and dysfunctional 'voters' who put all those broken fools in charge of everything. Democracy here is not working to our mutual benefit, rather it us dividing us and creating massive social imbalance.😟

Sorry, ur cat's a basket case🤣..... Ummm, (pot calls kettle black, with white patches...) have to admit mine is too. Missed a great photo op, my cuddly numbnut attempting to occupy full basket of damp laundry perched precariously on w/machine. I just have to leave it to your imagination. LMTO🤣🤣🤣

Indeed. I too don't care about them, as much as caring is about changing their diapers etc, but I do very much 'care' that acts by these cretins, justified by their delusion, deceit or dementedness, threaten my welfare, and that of *everyone I care for. (*Actually, everyone, including themselves!')

Hmm, bit redundant, IMO all sociopaths r evil, but u r 100% karrect!

Don't look now, but a certain cretin is likely to really make being 🦉far🦉too🦉cute🦉 an actual crime. Prolly jealous 'cos he is one of those rarest of critters, 🍊💩with an eggseedingly totally infinite negative value of cute🤢 (Abject appypollyloggies for pird buns...and the spoon(bill)erism [chuckle])😁

Bird notta Morpork, they's rilly cuzzies of Kiwis. I miss Sir Terry😥. World needs more humour, well done that thief!

We need there to be more of us than them. If any sane humans you know don't know about Bluesky please enlighten them😊

Having travelled globally as a kid, I have seen many schoolyard bullies, from cowards who found themselves a weaker victim, to physically strong sadistic sociopaths, all of them also fit entirely into the venn diagram set of "demented fools". IMO acting harmfully towards other humans is not sane.

Gramps sounded forth when I read him this, he told me that a very popular chant of hippies protesting against the Vietnam War was "Fighting for peace is like F#@[<!ng for virginity!"

Do I hear an owl of protest?

Idea for a product for petshops, kitty-bed made of heated fake keyboards, just place near computer and adjust temp to slightly warmer than computer. Cuddliest being in room will automacatally migrate to it!😊

Pond scum is smarter than that demented cretin. There's a saying my Gramps picked up in Spain, where they had a vile dic(k)tatorship which took them ages to rid themselves of. "If someone wants to be in charge, under no circumstance should you let them"!🥴

Yup, see, it's not actually hard to get good people these days!

I am ashamed of our country. They (u know who u are) put a mentally deficient fool in charge. I am sad. I am wearing the fur off my cat cuddling her constantly in desperation. Can you tell me, what act definitively signals a dictatorship? We may already have seen it, and still can't do anything.

Yup, but its gotter be cold wotter, otterwise they'll be a lot otter than a lotter otters otter be.

Yup, just b'cos you become sane doesn't mean having to throw the baby out with the bathwater. I atheised very young, (nil tolerance for bogusness), but absolutely adore 'church' architecture and stained glass windows! I am so happy they rebuilt Notre DameCathedral, and continued the Sagrada Familia.

Exactly, what 'evolved' is sub par, broken even. A new system needs developing, only looking backwards isn't a good start. How about, just for example, a tripartite system, citizens vote only for 'spokespersons', public servants employed to 'govern', and an expert tribunal is empowered to monitor.
comment in response to post
Sadly this has it's own demise built in, just like 'national' democracy. 'Citizens' are not, as a mass 'entity', sensible, smart, wise, clever, nor kind, selfless, charitable, see where I am going with this. Deceitful, delusional, daft, dedicated to self aggrandizement..no good at choosing leaders.

Same goes for the original version of Dune. They keep doing meh remakes, when they could have proceeded with the rest of the 6 books with the same actors and incredible designs. I'm still fond of Art Nouveau, a love which grew out of seeing the Atreides family 'style'. Hollywood, stop doing remakes!

Belief is a terrible thing. 'Democracy', or what passes for it hereabouts, failed because so many believe things which are not real, true, actual or factual, and so they base their decisions on nonsense. Kind of like getting the company crackheads to choose the CEO complete with sycophants attached.

Not to mention his downright awful existence. To paraphrase someone's mum, 'stupid is as stupid does', and I reckon..... vile is as vile as!

Actually, we are already 'decimated', it means 'to reduce by one tenth', and since it's 'TRiUMPh', our USsAr is now more than .1 less on every metric I can think of. The bicycle of America is careering backwards downhill towards a huge solid wall this Clown has built! Or should that be silo'd wall?

I just replied to another post about making time for myself to do some actual book-reading, and my choice seems quite apt here as well, given the sorry state of things. I shall dig out and quietly re-read an 1849 essay by the great Henry David Thoreau, "On the Duty of Civil Disobedience".
comment in response to post
Seeing this just makes me happy, so is a genuine 'bluebird of happiness'. Thoreau did much thoughtful intelligent writing. I haven't had time for reading lately, but given the current state of things, I may give myself a treat this weekend and re-read 'On the Duty of Civil Disobedience'

I must admit I was a little bit miffed with Gramps, I was young, my first thought was 'poor 'Roos'. He patiently explained stuff, until I was a puddle of juvenile tears over what 'my country' had wrought. I have the utmost respect for heroes worldwide risking their lives to undo the harms of wars.

Imho, sarcasm being seen as the lowest form of humor depends on one's point of view, mostly it's darn funny in context, and I reckon better a poor sense of humor than none at all 😊 Also, if something looks like an a-hole one is likely to be viewing it from below. Beware of being pooped upon.☂️🍊💩

Years ago my Gramps read that Cambodia was still full of mines, farming was deadly, folk were starving. Then he read about a 'plague' of kangaroos in Australia. His idea, send the 'roos to Cambodia! 🤣 Anyone know of where there's excess wasps? Also, apropos of nothing, what is the BOT's address?

They have their own styles, and have you ever tried to get someone with a busy creative mind to precisely follow your brief to the letter? Oh, and then what if you had to pay for the thousands of discards..which costs nothing using AI. Its a big universe, room for everyone. Don't like, don't look😌
comment in response to post
Everything always changes...that's the way the universe works. Realizing that helped me dredge myself out of misery. Before, all I had was despair, now I love and am loved. Be patient, but make some efforts in the direction you would like your life and love to go. Don't lose hope. Do more art!😊

What about folk with utterly stupendous imaginations, great ideas, brilliant concepts, but no, and I mean nil, zero, negative even, pictographic abilities? Some have extensive vocabulary, good grammar, can craft amazing prompts, and are both logical and creative, but just can't use pens or brushes.

I have a relative, ideas all the time, sensible workable humanitarian..how to stop forest fires in their tracks, prevent most train crashes. 3 problems though...he's probably autistic, scarpered off to New Zealand, and is extremely shy. I get so sad knowing his ideas will never see the light of day.

To give up something nonexistant in exchange for ...'power'... would seem to be a good deal. Shame that such 'power', in universal terms, amounts to little more than the smell of one fart of a straining electron on it's umpty-bonk squillionth orbit of its nucleus. Ps Love your beard and 'burden' 😊
