It was a little more complicated than that. D'Eon doesn't map very well onto 21st century categories. Non-binary, perhaps, but only if you squint. Gary Kates's biography is dated, but AFAIK is still the best on the subject.

Wolf Hall, novel and series, paint a very different picture of More, an interesting counterpoint to Paul Scofield's performance in A Man for All Seasons. My students read the hagiography attributed to More's son-in-law (the basis for Robert Bolt's screenplay) against John Foxe's accounts of More.

It was terrific to see so many people (around 200 by my imprecise count) at the courthouse on Monday; have other groups in town been informed of this action?

There are people with "zero education" all over social media, and they stand out because they haven't learned to write an intelligible sentence, arguably a skill one would need to write a prompt intelligible to AI.

There are concerns that this is a hoax.

This has been true of establishment media generally for the last 30 years.

He has four years to get supermajorities of both houses to pass a constitutional amendment (not happening) and then get 37 state legislatures to ratify it (also unlikely). Autocrats get ahead precisely because people glibly ascribe to them powers they do not possess.

Fair point. But I'm perfectly serious.
