Not to be rude but this piece would be a lot more powerful if the artist had actually experienced cancer themselves, or chosen to honour their sister instead of themselves by naming it "This Does Not Define You." It really is a gorgeous work of art, it just feels a bit like stolen valour to me

It depends a lot for me on whether the reader is having a little fun with it or taking themselves too seriously.
Also if it's fiction, just a hint of change between characters can help distinguish them from each other, but in non-fiction I do prefer a straight narrator's voice
