So, to my shame, I've never played a Trails game. It's been on my to-do list for a long time, and I've wanted to make sure I have the space between other releases and what not to dedicate myself to a full playthrough. It really sounds right up my alley. Especially this art style, look at it!

We’re getting THPS 3+4 remakes babyyyyy These were the peak of the franchise imo.

I think Avowed will resonate most with people who don't like their open worlds too open, don't want to worry about making "the wrong" choice in an RPG, and just want something digestible with nice visuals and combat. It's RPG lite and it won't feel overwhelming.

I think Avowed is one of those 7/10 games for me It's a well made game in many regards. It just feels flat. It's also frustrating when the foundation is in place for a great role playing experience, but the execution feels far too safe and sterile. Obsidian can, and have, provided so much more!

Tried to organize some thoughts on the current generative AI push in video game development. What bugs me is how much executives seem to think that the human touch has no bearing on why people like games, and that players will just play ANYTHING. www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/why-w...

Felt inspired

Avowed definitely feels less Bethesda, more Bioware. But like, DA:I era Bioware. It looks nice, sounds nice, and has enjoyable combat (especially magic) that shines in higher difficulty fights. It also has too many guard rails: you can't turn down a follower, you can't harm NPCs, no crime, etc.
