It’s only a matter of time before cartels or other organized crime use the guise of un-uniformed ICE in unmarked cars to start committing robbery, kidnapping, murder. Unlike the MN killer yesterday, they won’t even have to bother with fake uniforms, badges, or patrol cars with emergency lights.

Goose-stepping is destructive to soldiers’ knee joints, which is why the US military doesn’t have them march that way.

It’s all just so sickening that we’ve come to this.

So very true.

Alaska is beautiful. A lot of gorgeous mountains and wild places among the Rocky Mountains too. It makes me incredibly sad & angry that the current regime has made the US so unsafe for tourism and travel.

😂 yeah, there are some family trees in that region which more resemble wreathes than trees. 🤣

I’m a mutt of just about every European ancestry. 😂 Also som Native American and one African American in my family tree too. I kinda am an embodiment of the American “melting pot”

It will take generations to rebuild what they’ve destroyed. And unfortunately, I think it’s going to get much worse before it begins to get better.

Trump’s betrayal of Ukraine vexes me to no end I donate & volunteer to help Ukrainians in every capacity I have the means to, in spite of how upside-down our current government is. What Trump & MAGA have done to our country and all our best allies—just like your country—is disgraceful & disgusting.

He can be charged by federal and state. Both have jurisdiction here.

I’m an american who’s very interested in what’s going on over there, too, with regard to your security against Russian aggression. and I have a lot to learn, too. The way I see it, we’re all in this together.

Presidential pardons do not apply to state crimes, only federal ones.

Quote poster blocked—here’s a screenshot. This kind of stuff doesn’t win any hearts or minds; what it does do is frame Trump’s opposition as meaningless.

I’m not offended. I’m saying we’re better than this.

Love that for him

Which is the problem.

The Trump regime literally proposed sending Native Americans to Guantanamo during the birthright citizenship legal battle Trump lawyers argued that Native Americans weren’t US citizens bc they were nationals of other (Native, eg Navajo) nations “outside US jurisdiction, not subject to its laws” 🥴

It’s amazing how much like Trevor Slattery—an alcoholic live performer *playing* The Mandarin in Iron Man—is to Hegseth: an alcoholic live performer *playing* SecDef in Project 2025. Both stumbling around blearily adjacent to “a custom-made terror [insurrection] threat” as the central plot device.

Gee, I wonder why they’d— MONEY. That’s why Musk, Theil, & PayPal Mafia’s filthy money Dem leaders @schumer.senate.gov & @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social have betrayed & sold out our nation—us as citizens—& our standing in the world EVERY BIT AS MUCH as the MAGA coup-d’état they continue to vote with

Smashed the heck out of that follow button. Thank you for stating this so clearly, succinctly, directly, and eloquently.

I completely agree. I used to follow you on Xitter a while back under a different handle. We had connected via DM about Issac Asimov while chatting about strategies to improve views and work around Musk’s new algorithm changes. Wonderful to connect with you again.

Well, the last Nuremberg trial had to be preceded by a World War in order to facilitate it. So..uh…there’s that. 😬

In many ways it’s like we’re still grappling w th same antebellum impasses that Continental Congress put off—Civil War didn’t truly resolve—Reconstruction never healed—Suffrage didn’t fix—& Civil Rights Era struggled to ameliorate in practical reality Civil society is a Sisyphean perpetual process.

Thank you for your boost post. It did indeed make me read that now. I’m glad I did. And hoooooly yikes.

Nah, dude. If there were ever a year to amplify pride month, this is it SCOTUS has already signaled its intention to overturn Obergefell v Hodges If there had been more noise leading up to the overturn of Roe, we probably would’ve galvanized resistance then It’s not a time to get quiet or concede

Those States’ Rights ppl use “Californian” as a pejorative—often call it “Commiefornia,” etc. CA has been derided w McCarthyesque thought-terminating clichés & Christian Nationalist culture war rhetoric for so long that MAGA consider the state an unAmerican *enemy threat*—not just a political rival

“The Rules of Force that they are operating under call for them to de-escalate any incidents as much as possible” Then Rules of Force require Natl Guard & Marines to be recalled—so as to not further escalate the litany of constitutional law violations—the escalating excessive force & abuse of power

The “Mysterious Russian Soul” they prattle on about is actually just 40% ABV grain spirits.

The optics of a destroyed cop car really works against getting the whole country on the side of the protesters, though. The “riot” & “violence” framing plays into Trump’s hands. He’s itching to invoke the Insurrection Act & deploy regular US troops.
