If Maricopa voters were dumb enough to choose Heap over Richer, then Heap over Stringham, maybe it’s not the worst thing if they can’t vote anymore. (Obviously, I’m kidding. But, just mostly kidding. A little bit of me is in FAFO mode.)

First lesson?

Yes. We don’t fair well by comparison to other nations. But, we do test all K12 students- not just those preparing to go on to secondary degrees (our SPED, ESL, and students living in poverty). Our biggest problem is lack of funding, as you mentioned.

Slight pushback on that. My children recently graduated from AZ public schools and have been more than prepared for the rigors of college and grad school. More students are going onto college than any previous generation. So, it’s not all bad. : )

She won’t. The Freedom Caucus of our state legislature will do everything possible to screw Hobbs any way they can, sadly. They propose these ridiculous bills that she will veto to use against her during the ‘26 election cycle. 😢

Please understand that I am NOT in agreement with Trump and his renaming of the Gulf of Mexico.

I appreciate that the editor highlighted the ridiculousness of our state legislature with front page headline status. It’s past time Arizona voters paid attention to just how awful our MAGA controlled state legislature really is. : )

See? Right here is a Dem that ran against one of the putz’s that voted for this ridiculous legislation. How much did I help you raise for an unwinnable seat but God we tried? $200K was it? I had to have my shoulder rehabbed after installing and removing 150+ street signs in over 100° heat.

To be fair, it’s hard to keep track of his ridiculous unethical biography.

And, committed a hit and run while under FBI surveillance…🙄

Well, I’ve worked practically full time for 6 years on Dem campaigns (for free), work closely with a Dem org not to mention my LD and have co-founded a group to bring in new volunteers. I also fundraise for candidates. And, I take campaign pics for free for Dems. How about you?

I don’t know…if folks keep voting for these asshats in the state legislature…maybe Hobbs should put the VETO stamp away and let the voters FAFO. Call their bluff. Quit saving them from themselves so voters figure out who their LD Reps really are. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I would add that subscribing to reputable local publications is vital. For example, here in Arizona, we have the Arizona Agenda on Substack. They are totally independent and trustworthy.

I had a whole todo list I had to change up as this warm weather has me spooked that my citrus will start blooming. Had to get pruning while I could!

I remember this. But, haven’t thought about it in in a long time. It’s so important that we not forget. Thank you for the reminder.

Thank you for recognising that my work has value. 😘

It did! But, I’m too close to get a good pic. Your pic is awesome!

The house we bought was evacuated for three days during the bighorn fire. I’m right on the edge of the desert wilderness up here and feeling the need to get everything shipshape. Our neighborhood spent $45,000 eradicating buffle grass above us. We need everyone in the foothills to do the same!

I’ve been trying to post 3-4 lighthearted sunset, organizing, housekeeping posts to every wtf political post. And, no re-posting big political accounts. We see it enough.

Ouch. Coincidentally, I just sharpened all my scissors and pruning shears.

The sounds bizarrely loud n the video- must have been because I was wearing air pods as I took the video. It’s not that loud in person. Just a low bubbling and murmuring in real life.

That is the fountain down in what we call the “Cloister Garden”.

Agreed. If I wanted to see the President Elect and his billionaire boyfriend all the time- I would have stayed on Twitter. Resist the urge to retweet and post hate multiple times a day. Trust me- we’ve all seen it/heard it/felt it enough. It’s not breaking news.
