losing my mind over this

Starmer is about to find out Trump works for Putin. Things are going to get ugly and we, in the UK, will be forced to pick a side. #FuckFascism

Nobel Prize-winning author Kazuo Ishiguro has joined calls for the UK government to “reconsider and change course” when it comes to AI, warning that “no one believes the proposed ‘opt-out’ system will work”. 👇 #BookSky

Hello, my name's Jen and I draw things. I'm a cool Bluesky kid now. Exciting.

I know there is fierce competition, but I think I found the worst person in Texas.

Drew this comic at the end of 2024. It was the first comic/narrative thing made for years & years. Inspired by the Japanese technique called Yonkoma. Using just four panels to tell a story. Format altered to fit. Really loving the #Uncanny work of @dannyrobins.bsky.social lately so thought relevant

🤔

Cunk is the best

Spread this while Fartage is in America hoping to fondle Trumps bollocks

@realgdt.bsky.social Hi Mr GdT. Any short horror stories floating around your brain to be turned into a comic?

Tight glutes

A year ago this month, Trump said he would encourage Russia to attack NATO allies and "do whatever the hell they want" unless allies paid up. We thought it was so important, we ran it on the front page of the @mississippifreepress.org at a time when the New York Times and others didn't.

Oof.

🔥

swear to god if this were a movie script the studio would send notes back saying "tone it down, no one's gonna buy this"

Not on Twitter anymore but thought I'd share some of the old glory

Beautiful.

Here's a trick: calming ask a Trump/Musk lover to name in 3 points why they love & trust them above anyone else. Then don't interrupt them. Just let them finish by themselves. By the third point, they should be starting to hear their own voice & hopefully the cracks of doubt appear. cont...

Doesn't like facts in his fact-checks:

It's so simple that it's even more horrific: Putin is bombing Ukraine & Donald, the evil & terrible business genius, is using it to get resources. All Trump knows how to do is to kick the downtrodden so any coins fall out of their pockets.

My latest Byline Times piece is live. "Amid the doom heavy, stranger-than-fiction, world we find ourselves in, I recently experienced a bizarre type of trolling." You can read all about it here. I'd love to hear your thoughts. #disabilityrights # writerslife #notdeadyet

Rees-Moggs are catholic so that’s heresy. Hope she goes full witch & burns it all down.

British Antarctic Survey From the new Private Eye, out now.

This would also be a good time to follow the @smallpressday.bsky.social account as we try to rebuild our audience here on Bluesky (we won't be posting on TwitterX in future obvs but we had a really sizeable following there.)

"But what can I do, I'm just a person" I'd rather see small acts of community help rather than passive defeatism. Even if you manage to help just one person, that's better than none. Now imagine if everyone dropped the defeatist attitude and helped.

Genuinely couldn't believe this figure until I saw the Financial Times confirm it using Meta's own financial reporting data For THIS $100 billion is genuinely the kind of money you could "do the impossible" with. Crack nuclear fusion. HIV vaccine. Universal flu vaccine And they spent it on this

Someone just posted plugging an AI resource site for writers. In the pitch it said "Writing is delightful work, but it's also work." Every single thing ever written by a human, that inspired anyone else to be a writer, took work. It was the work that most likely made the thing great. #FuckAI

It's a travesty that television isn't playing Idiocracy every night at prime time

Excellent news and not before time 👏👏👏

Why does the superior race insist on making us smell their yeasty armpits?!

Despicable. Elon Musk has just suggested Zelenskyy is sending soldiers to die so he can make money. “What are they dying for? I’ll tell you what for. For the biggest graft machine I’ve seen in my life. Poor guys are getting sent into a meat grinder for money.”

reality is going just fine

Maybe he could try less eye-twirling drugs?

tanked up to his hidden eyeballs

I'm not saying #Newsnight is scraping a barrel but one of the current guests is a parliamentary Labour Party candidate for 2024 wearing a teddy bear jumper discussing the war in Ukraine and I think the barrel's just died.

Seems to me an awful lot of what is pitched as AI safety is really AI marketing. "It's so scary it must be good" This study "shared exclusively with TIME" (i.e., not available for peer scrutiny) claims that LLMs cheat at chess when they are going to lose. time.com/7259395/ai-c...
