Am I crazy or… was the one in 10 not utter dogshit? I think this is a case of us forgetting how bad things were

Also use version control!!! Always makes mass refactoring a lot less stressful if you can make a commit right before just in case you fuck something up.

Get a UPS. You’ll have issues like this regardless of your os if your pc doesn’t have guaranteed uninterrupted power. Ask me how I know :P

When most modern movies/shows have terrible audio mixing and modern tvs have terrible speakers it’s a requirement

Yes, exactly. I think we see eye to eye here. There is certainly more nuance to it than just "voters bad".

I think this is a long-term problem and has affected the US for a very very long time. The education system is not "letting" voters make bad choices, that's just a fact of democracy. Anyone should be able to vote, and it should be the job of the state to educate people on basic civics.

This is also not based on theory. You can look up stats on education funding pretty much anywhere. Most schools in the US, as far as I'm aware, are funded based on local income tax. What do you think happens to the quality of education in an area with lower property values (fewer wealthy families)?

...on a state-by-state basis. If you happen to be born in Oklahoma, for example, you are far less likely to receive quality education. In that sense, education becomes an important factor to consider when looking at voters.

I mean I do think adults (anyone who is eligible to vote) do share an ethical responsibility to do their research and educate themselves before voting. I'm not saying voters share no blame at all. However the education system has also been kinda screwed for a long time, and it certainly varies...

This observation doesn’t necessarily have to lay the blame on individuals though. I’d say it says more about our education system and access to information than anything else.

Nah. Get a wireless mouse with a charging cable. Don't have to worry about replacing batteries, your mouse just becomes wired for a little bit when it needs to charge.

Memories is actually so good!!! Very much worth the watch. Gorgeous animation and really unique direction on all of the episodes.

Because HDMI is kinda just a shitty standard and there are fees for shipping a product with them. Display port is just simply a much better standard that is less widely adopted (although you would be hard pressed to find a monitor without one nowadays at least)

I've also started work on a level editor plugin for Blender. So far I only have an entity placement tool, but it's a start.

Tbh I just use a paper towel dry and it certainly seems to work well enough. Isopropyl is nice to have though don’t get me wrong.

Then your motherboard won’t post and you troubleshoot everything just to realize you forgot to plug the other end of the CPU power plug into the PSU…

I would be shocked if it did. Wine always feels the same as it did like 7 years ago to me. Always feels like a miracle getting any sort of complicated non-game app to run.

If everything is solid state (I don't use hard drives anymore personally), this makes no sense. All you're doing is thermal cycling your components every day but turning it off and on constantly.
