This is less inflammatory that the colorful assertion Trump is still an agent (of SVR) and still taking instruction. But it still leaves Trump in a vulnerable place, still subject to manipulation, by Putin directly, not Russian intelligence. So we have the same problem, more or less...

Yes, and the BLS is a priceless asset. If things do go south, though, the administration may start compromising our valued data sources rather than have them confirm bad news. Trump is already jamming up the mainstream press, like AP for example.
