My husband @robertcooper-us.bsky.social and I were the FIRST gay couple to adopt children in the US, way back in 1985. We went on to adopt five wonderful kids — all adopted at birth. The day after the immigration raids in Bakersfield, 25% of farm workers didn't show up for work. 75% the days after that. In Florida today, 50% of farm workers didn't show up for fear of being rounded up. This is going to be so much worse than we ever imagined.
