I think you’re missing the march in Brooklyn an hour before the big rally in Manhattan. I’d estimate somewhere in the mid single to low double digit thousands there.

Agreed.
Which is amazing given how the day began.

I've been to cookouts with bigger crowds than that.

Yeah, most New Yorkers don't bring small children there.
Sorry you had that experience.

This was the #NoKings march in Brooklyn – a separate event from the massive rally in Manhattan one hour later. It extended the entire length of Prospect Park West, and people were still arriving at Grand Army Plaza (the starting point) when I walked back. All in a pretty steady rain.

It would confuse the fuck out of the MAGAs. lol

This was *in addition* to the massive rally in Manhattan and several others around NYC.

We had thousands at Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn too.

Mallory, love ya, but this isn't an issue on both sides. Political violence is fundamentally a RW issue and should be called out as such. Indeed, it's part of why it's so important to defeat these horrible people and confine their movement to the dustbin of history.
Dems should say as much. LOUDLY.

Yeah, I'm not yet convinced he *wasn't* a cop.
He had a cruiser, badge, vest, "taser and other equipment," that were all authentic enough to fool experienced state officials.

And badge. And vest. And "taser and other equipment."
Seems to me like a non-zero chance he was an actual cop, much as I'm sure they don't want him to be.

You're only just seeing this?
OMG, such a treat! SO good. Byrne's body has aged, obviously, but good GRACIOUS is his voice still in prime shape.
And Rodrigo is so obviously chuffed to be up there with him. She looks like a little girl even in the (very cool/sexy) bikini outfit. It's adorbs.

Love to see it – and I hope they do expand to include A. Adams. They were already my top 3.

Thank you for this totally-up-my-alley obscure '80s PBS reference on this day of awfulness.
I look forward to your take on the head turn by David Suchet at the end of the opening montage of Hercule Poirot next.
Oh, and also, your review of the two different Watsons who played opposite Brett. :)

Wishing you all the best from NYC!
I'll be at Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn wearing a NO TYRANTS, NO KINGS t-shirt and waving an American flag.

I dunno. I feel like they would've enacted most of it anyway, and it'd now have been the law of the land for 3-4 years.

Alex Frost led a company of Dem Reps to Thune's office to demand action, but Thune (obviously) wouldn't see them.
