Those are some great names! Our last few dogs have been Goldens. We name them for summers on CapeCod. Current pair is Camper (our rv) & Woody (woods hole)

S3 with versioning has replaced ZFS for most of our use cases.

We still have one setup with Ubuntu+OpenZFS. AWS and embracing their services was the tolling bell for cool OS-level tech in my org. We weren’t heavy into Solaris/ZFS but we did have one critical system running that combo on what we considered to be a giant Sun server. Ran like a champ.

Super cool! But I don't want to tinker with hardware anymore. I just want it to work. Linux (for me) is the same. I've been running it in one form or another since '98, but inevitably, as a main OS, I end up breaking it somehow where reinstall is the best option. WSL2 & OSX fit my needs.

Writing a good holiday song is a sure fire way to have ARR forever. Pentatonix and Michael Buble come to mind as more recent successes, but I generally agree with you. Huge opportunity.

From my limited understanding they need to be on an outside wall for venting. That isn’t possible at this house. If my wife ever allows us to move, I’ll be sure to consider it!
