Connections aren't that personal, IMO; they don't reflect actual relationships. Those are probably people interested in your work, and appearing in their feeds is almost entirely upside for you. If you think THEY'RE shitty, if you don't want them in YOUR feed, by all means prune—but IMO prune then.

I can imagine the loop of a roguelike sending you back to some base after each session to do progression, but soulslikes are about animation timing before they're about allusory worldbuilding or even bosses, so I don't know, man, me neither

I'm also reading that the takedown was preemptive, voluntary, and broader than the letter of the law demands, which reads as political performance (likely to benefit Trump and/or prospective US buyers of affected apps)

Imagine hiring a more transparent stylist

Back when that scam started, I had an older car that would’ve really benefited from some random warranty coverage, so I called those people back. The employee who answered had no idea what to do with me. I guess no one actually falls for that, and there’s no pipeline in place for those who do?

Devs, please introduce multiple characters per account, or at least let us reroll post-FTUE. This is a very complicated game.

These seem like old-person revelations, which makes sense because WIS is conventionally the old-person stat, which means that I'm both getting old getting and now stating a cliche.

I repost this, of course, having sauntered and preened and jabbed through the worst of it

Don't get me wrong, I love a big swooping arc. As a narrative designer and writer I live for those mega-structures. But I think as developers we can over-index on them at the cost of keeping players more deeply emotionally engaged in the present, and I think sometimes we can go too slow.

Love this inky style. You could totally woodblock print.

We do this for normal gameplay (I like the “psychographic profiles” from MtG of Timmy, Johnny, and Spike) but not AFAIK for narrative. Would be super interesting to build some templates there for taste.

Air is a critical component of forging, though—hence bellows.

For real, yeah. They had to have picked that year to make ‘the real world’ feel contemporary, inadvertently hitting a bullseye.

You can’t blame 90s kids for entering the 2000s with optimism any more than you can blame Zoomers for lacking it now. Is behavior not the same? When does will kick in?
