Then don't use glass straws. Reusable metal, and paper straws, exist. I think plastic straws should be an option available if desired or needed but never the norm. In the same way the other single-use plastics you mention, and any others, should not be.

The only way he knows how to get anything done is extortion.

I thought this was struck from the bill?

So when the government egregiously overreaches, you're in favor of the courts inability to stop it and instead plaintiffs must fight individually? "Good riddance" to limit the power of thr judiciary when the government is entering totalitarianism? Ignorance and privilege at its best. Fuck this guy.

It is. All religious extremism is cancer.

Literally every horrible thing is possible right now. This country is being dismantled before our eyes.

This is the most ridiculous anti-trans sentiment. I'll take "you're just confused" or whatever over this any day. Like seriously, what

Erm. I think I am crushing on you. I follow and read your updates all the time. They are super important, aaaand you're a qtpie too? Go on. 🫣🥰 But also, yes, Bove looks like he drank the wrong cup at the end of Indiana Jones 3.

Ugh! I did mine two days ago at my public library, and the lady who helped me was super nice. But also seemed totally unaware of the shifts that have happened regarding our right to accurate passports before/after. Fingers crossed yours and mine come back correctly.

But seriously though fuck AI. I hope it fails spectacularly and I resent it being part of anything I do.

I would totally rather look up the conversion tables

I don't understand why anyone is relying on AI for anything.

Happy tranniversary! I passed one year back in March. I have never been happier in my life. I wish you all the same!!

I just took a gamble and did it this afternoon.

Thank you. Please continue to help us raise our voices and tell our stories. We are here and some of us willing to share. Most people don't even know a transgender person, and that makes us so much easier to disregard.

I'll be right there with you.

I have watched this many times and I love it.

Thank you. This has been a really rough past couple of days. I am cancelling my subscription.

I sure hope so. I think I just need to stay away from the news for a bit. It is very overwhelming along with all of the things I am doing as part of my transition right now. Thanks for the words of encouragement and for keeping the fight. 💚

I don't mean Bluesky, I just mean *gestures at everything* as a trans lady. I was so happy when I came out a couple years ago. My life is immeasurably better. Now I wake up every day to how the world wants to eradicate me.

I hate it here.

Thank you Governor Moore! I am glad to be in MD, and I truly hope we can enshrine transgender and LGBTQ+ rights in our state constitution as well.

This is a pretty big deal for me. I am very happy! But also not so happy that I haven't been able to renew my passport due to bigotry over the past six months...

But to be clear, I do want her to fight harder for herself and for all of the trans community.

I actually agree with this. As a trangender woman myself, (and obv Erin as well), it's hard to see anything but absolute fight all the time. I think she's trying to appeal to those who are lost in the middle on it. It's disappointing, and maybe she feels the same. But I do think she is trying.
