It’s great lesson in confirmation bias.

I think the assumptions that you make are the blaring weakness in all of this. And then what happens when the assumed freedoms fail?

“For Good or Ill”…
That “or” is absolutely wrecking my brain right now. What a preposterous conjoiner to use.

Sadly, geopolitics are messy. Such is the way of things.

I don’t believe anything they say. None of them are reliable.

We provide the weapons to everybody. Is it America’s war always? Or just when Israel does stuff?

It appears the reports are split on whether US was even notified before the strike. End of the day, these are still Putin’s talking points. Make of that what you will.

Is it? Why is it America’s war if Israel attacks Iran?

“America’s war”, “propagandists”

The Pacers are sixth in defensive rating since the All Star Break. Better than the Rockets, Knicks, Cavs and Pistons.

lol you still need to stop people to win. And you literally cannot hide two bad defenders on the court at the same time.

lol I’m not sure how a new coach is going to make KAT a good defender, but enjoy the hopium.

They’re going to give up 150 though.

They know their readers hate Trump. They know that the vast majority of their readers would never vote for him (they didn’t in 2024). They’re trolling us. What they are also doing is laundering the GOP lies that get fed to the uninformed and hardened. Remember the Chris Rufo garbage?

This would have spawned 8 million NYTimes Op Eds should Biden have said it.

That well is pretty poisoned. For some fucked reason these burnout Gen X whiteboys are considered cool by the low info types.

I wonder what made her the “incorrect candidate” in his eyes. A real mystery.

The word “profit” implies everything is on the up and up. Using profit in this way is just more sanewashing. The word is “curruption”

Read that headline again and tell me what it says.

This is par for the course. It’s the reductionism that really gets you. Anything out of line with their narrow worldview gets labeled “far right”.

Democracy Now is not a great source. They’ve consistently pushed pro-Russian talking points since 2015.

Congress did all of those things. Or the courts. With the margins the man faced, what he did was remarkable.

Wolff is on his own funded channel spouting his opinions. Those are not facts. He’s also not part of the consensus at all. This is what you would call “confirmation bias” plus he’s also selling things so he has a conflict of interest.
Your second post stops at 2020. So pre-Biden.

Except Biden’s policies actually did it? It was working. Unless you think the Inflation Reduction and CHIPS acts were bad policies?
comment in response to

Would they? Biden’s policies were all driven toward a stronger middle class.
You’re just spouting “both sides” platitudes without specifics.

I did not get what I wanted. Because the country didn’t understand the stakes of the 2024 election.
comment in response to

The New Deal was passed because the country was in the absolute shitter during the Great Depression. Context matters. It’s possible we’re headed there again. But the guardrails are fundamentally weaker now than then. Biden’s term did produce strong middle class policies. No credit given.

I’ll take that as an “I don’t know”
