We pitched it as the first book in the series, and I will always hold out hope for a season 2 to get the green light. Until then, I hope you all enjoy the adventure with the students from Shackleton's School for Seekers. Aut inveniam viam aut faciam, my friends.

It's also about understanding that the gifts you've been given don't erase the challenges that come with them or those hardships that just happen to the same person.

Today, SEEKER SOCIETY hit stores, & readers can have a copy in their hands. If you or someone in your life who wants to read about shipwrecked superpowered kids trying desperately to survive & solve riddles about the mysterious island they've been stranded on, SEEKER SOCIETY is the book for you.

Over the years since that conversation, we pitched, got notes & revised under the guidance of Matthew Cody, the art of Zack Giallongo, & the colors of Whitney Cogar. The story hit Epic, & I watched my students check it out, but it didn't look like it was going to move to print... until last summer.

I hopped on board quickly, recognizing the app it would be published on as one I personally used with my students but unsure of the ultimate reach a digital library of books would have on students. This conversation took place in December 2019.

I never dared to dream that one day I'd be doing a book signing there. It may have moved down the street, but it's still ✨my✨ B&N. Napervillains, who will I see there??

The themes just out of reach. The feeling it was saying more than I could ever understand without feeling like inaccessibly arty Oscar bait (though it deserves All The Oscars). See it in the theatre ASAP.

Agreed and also it's okay to have leads that are neither antiheroes or borderline assholes snarkmasters.

I also got a print from local artist Brianna Boyd who also happened to be there enjoying the festivities! I can't wait to hang it in my classroom. 🩷

The goody bag included stickers, buttons, and a gift card (I immediately used it on BAD DREAMS AT NIGHT by @adamtots.bsky.social (which I'd read as an ARC but didn't own as a hard copy). Supporting your local bookstores can mean more than just shopping - be a part of the community!

@barnesandnoble.com is having a sale for 25% off preorder books w/ promo code PREORDER25. SEEKER SOCIETY is a full color graphic novel, a middle grade adventure story that takes students w/ powers from X-MEN & wraps it in the mysteries of LOST (except we actually planned the ending from the start).
