Memory? You were at the mass lobby in 1988?

Oh, i know that one...even if its a long time since I've done any much writing FOR ME. Because, fecking terfs!

Was just discussing this with a friend... cause i am pissed with all the armchair warriors going on about how trump is "embarrassed," "humiliated," etc. When in the end, what matters when facing off against fascists is: "who controls the streets?" The rest is over-intellectualised wank!

Hmmm. Gianna nannini has been the bad girl of Italian pop since the 80s, publicly claiming NOT to be lesbian. This song is ostensibly about a man, but oh! the video suggests something very different. youtu.be/xoco58gF8h0?...

Think you'll find he's wearing a suit. Not a shift!

Basically, as a national news org, the BBC is a total disgrace. There are some good journos working there... and a whole load of lying, pusillanimous, butt-licking editors.

Context: while not talking to me, the Mail, Times, Telegraph nonetheless published 200+ articles in the week post the chicken supreme ruling. A few BBC programmes reached out, including 2 where they actively misled as to content, leading me to withdraw at the last minute.

A traditional activity in the Labour Whips Office.

Yes, but, very clearly, a determined trans woman could drill through the partition, Hatton Garden style, send through a camera mounted on a small drone... and masturbate themselves into a frenzy, while fantasising about the offence given to Sex Mutters. Its a perfectly rational concern!

I do believe @midnightpals.bsky.social has cctv footage of their froth-in tonight.

Which is the most "crime procedural?"

Meanwhile, been debating farewell baking. That is, goodbye cakery for the barmy baroness. Toss-up right now between laxative chocolate chip cookies, and a penis cake (don't ask!).

Oh, yeah. Must try one of yours soon. Book, that is.

So are ginger biscuits! (Currently inhaling the aroma of freshly baked biscuits).

Also worth being aware of this letter, as you may need to puch back after the event: bsky.app/profile/did:...

Brilliant advice. Can i add...though it is implied by what you write above: GET RECEIPTS! Names, badge numbers, etc. of anyone you interact with. Ask for them to cite any policies they quote at you. Get a number or email address for follow-up and complaint if necessary. Record the interaction.

Correct!!!

Thanks... there was an early glitch, now fixed.

Can someone - ANYONE! - please confirm the template link is now working. It works on my pc...but always wary of using that as a check, because it might be lurking somewhere in cache.

Try now...think i've fixed it

OK. Try now... think i've fixed it.

HAve you tried doing 'open in new tab?'

Bloody hell! I've only just finished updating with the last update you asked for. Mercy! Mercy!

Wow! Except... I don't think i would have expected better from starmer.

Being (mostly) human, i endure the heat with a degree of stoicism... but I truly fear for my cat. A few years back, it was so hot overnight, he just flaked out and lay on his side panting. No-one to blame, i guess. But given how horrid that was, im not very tolerant of selfish sun-lovers.
comment in response to post
Sparky "about" the heat? Not sure i quite get that, but from your recent posts, i can guess... and i am 100% with you. I hate excess heat... i put it down to my slavic roots... as does my cat. In his case i put it down to his Norwegian Forest roots.

The thing i find increasingly disturbing is... when i grew up hearing tales of family history from parents and grandmother... WWII was closer to me in time than, say, 9/11 is to me now. Almost closer than the 2008 world financial crisis.
comment in response to post
Aw. Sad. I never knew either grandfather. And only one grandmother, who was, sadly, a xenophobic bigot, and got increasingly unhinged as she approached her centenary. (Eventually made it to 94 or 96: exact age remains in doubt).

Interesting, in terms of futurology. Fireball XL5 is supposedly out there in 2062. So musk needs to get a move on. That's just 37 years away!

OK...but do you go back as far as Supercar?

Who was that?

Even when it came to the everyday and the mundane, the finding, by @transmediawatch.bsky.social , was that the views of (favourable) cis commentators were cited two to three times as frequently in the press. And there is nowt more righteous, more dogmatic, than an "inspired ally."
comment in response to post
Meanwhile, over and over, trans discourse was kidnapped and held hostage by cis folks in pursuit of their own agenda. In the uk, the two most significant attempts at legislation, around self-identity, were initiated and then pursued, disastrously, by cis leaders in England and Scotland.
comment in response to post
A large part of the problem is that the mainstream media never stopped being confrontational, even if the form of their hostility changed over time. Yet any attempt to push back against that was met with outrage! How DARE we have thoughts if our own.
comment in response to post
Basically, a total stitch-up, and most major trans orgs did not go.
comment in response to post
Pretty much. Its not counting as a formal consultation... so little point in organisations going. The invite came about 4 days before the meeting. No indication of who else was invited, but quite a few orgs not trans-led. An hour and a half, and... started with the ehrc "explaining."
comment in response to post
Oooo.... great! (Did she do any conjuring tricks?)
comment in response to post
Why, sure. Because in Birbalsingh World, a 16-year-old-guy having sex with a 13-year-old girl goes instantly into the "nothing-to-see-here" category.
comment in response to post
Even if it were, the trans woman would NOT be breaking the law. The EA places civil obligations on space providers. Not on those using that space.
comment in response to post
This is the correct approach. Any legal change will apply not to you, but to those responsible for the space in which you find yourself. It is not a criminal matter...and random gc's harassing you are quite possibly breaking the law.
