The judge writes her order is"little more than an academic exercise" because "either he will remain in the custody of the Attorney General... if detained under the Bail Reform Act" or "likely" will remain in ICE custody "subject to anticipated removal proceedings" outside her jurisdiction.

As the graphic shows, the B-2 stealth bombers left from Whiteman Air Force Base, where its website says "the unit can launch combat sorties directly from Missouri to any spot on the globe." The base is near Knob Noster and south and east of Kansas City.
