Trump bombing Iran without congressional approval was illegal and against international law, and this is what Carney has to say about it? Absolute pandering bullshit. Just embarrassing stuff.

Complete nonsense. Ford is proposing 1,600 Ontario Place parking spaces. Assuming a full lot every day of the year (a generous assumption) and even granting some turnover (let’s say 2,000 entrants a day), the province would still have to charge $82 per entrant to total $60M/yr

Why isn't the media focusing on the real driver behind Netanyahu's cruel attacks on Gaza killing 1000s of innocent citizens, especially women and children, and bombing Iran? It's to keep his theocratic, ultra- far right coalition together and prevent him going to jail on corruption charges

Just a reminder that Starlight, the management company accused of neglecting basic maintenance, is wholly owned by PSP public service pension fund. www.thestar.com/news/gta/mor...

This is despicable. #EvinPrison has been one of the world's most notorious places of injustice, persecution, torture and death for decades. Today those prisoners had to cope with the cruelty of Israeli missiles. \

When the places people are told to seek relief from the heat, as part of the City’s “heat relief network”, are closed because it’s too hot outside, then it’s clearly time for a better plan. No one, including our homeless, should be left without somewhere to go and water to drink.

Why are no headlines focusing on the unconstitutional and dictatorial nature of this action?

Trump's bombing of Iran serves no larger political or security purpose. He just didn't want to look like a loser as he was goaded by the war criminal Netanyahu. Canada must separate ourselves from the reckless violence of the gangster regime in Washington.

Not Canada’s war.

1. If you want hope in this dark moment, listen to chant of "no more war" that broke out in the very large crowd that came out to hear Bernie Sanders in Tulsa, Oklahoma. There is only one off-ramp from Trump's mad rush to war: the quick mobilization of an anti-war opposition. The people are ready.

This is a bad idea. A good one? Reform & resource the RCMP so it has the resources to tackle serious and organized crime under existing criminal law. And then fix the Listings Law & process so it isn't so easily politicized. 🧐 www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

“Excuse me? Deleted emails? Code words? It’s corruption! Ford takes public lands, sells it cheap to his rich friends! Greenbelt, Ontario Place, Indigenous lands! What’s taking RCMP so long? Is Ford Canada’s Trump?” @cheridinovo.bsky.social is 🔥 #Onpoli #cndpoli #TO 🔗 youtu.be/JFxpEUL8icA?si…

The CBC At Issue panel roasts the hell out of the behaviour of the Carney government here (and they are entirely correct in doing so): #cdnpoli #polcan m.youtube.com/watch?v=HAYk...

$280 *per family* is nothing. We’d be far better off collectively investing that money into social programs that make life more affordable for everyone by taking the things we depend on out of the market system.

Let's be clear about #JohnTory, a legacy of huge city wide disrepair, huge growth in homeless, and a financial hole that Mayor Chow had to legally fill. Nice just doesn't cut it. www.thestar.com/news/gta/joh...

Mr. Antiwar President has us inches away from a Civil War at home and a nuclear war abroad in defense of an ally that is starting random hot regional wars to detract from its ongoing genocide. I’m sure all of this will just naturally cool off.

"Your timely reminder that Obama negotiated a great deal with Iran (JCPOA) which had halted its nuclear program in its tracks. Trump ENDED that deal in 2018. Iran then resumed enriching Uranium, and now, here we are, with another preventable war on our hands." Mikel Jollett

I've quoted this a lot, from when Saxe was Ontario's enviro commissioner. “Land use planning is Ontario’s oil sands” aka car oriented. Her "compromise" on Bathurst is directly opposed to the lofty statements she said as a critic. Bus rapid transit is an attempt to mitigate bad planning & land use.

The Canadian equivalent of the NIH should consider funding a bunch of studies monitoring what happens with vaccine-preventable diseases in Canada and the US over the next decade. Because a real-world laboratory is being created.

I spent five weeks talking to federal workers about knowledge loss and brain drain across the federal government, and its implications, both right now and for decades to come. Their stories are frightening, but I think it's important to know what we're facing: www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

Especially galling because, as far as this vandal is concerned, it’s working. Photo radar charges on Parkside between November (when vandalism started) and March were down 78% year over year. datawrapper.dwcdn.net/i8uxn/1/C

Afraid to go downtown because of protests? I live downtown. There are always protests downtown. Pro-LGBTQ rights protests. Pro-Black rights protests. Pro-cycling protests. Anti-war protests. Protests to raise awareness of wars elsewhere in the world. If those scare you, I don’t know what to say.

I wonder if there some underused parks in #etobicoke? #onpoli

As an African, let me give y'all a bit of background information on white South Africans (boers). The boers are a group of white people who live in South Africa, who descend from Dutch colonisers. This is important, because South Africa has the highest income inequality of any country in the world.

Trump doesn't give a crap about South Africa. But he does care about making white Americans scared of Black people. Racism is his jet fuel.
