At @couchdb.bsky.social we take data safety extreeeeemly serious. A few weeks ago, we had to make sure we were not susceptible to a particularly gnarly race condition that could lead to catastrophic data loss.

I couldn’t functionally use my bsky account for pretty exactly 24 hours after posting this. What happened to my free speech absolutism? Or technical glitch, but their status page looked fine.
