I would call setting cars on fire a riot. It is pointless destruction. It harms the cause of civil protest.

As far as I understand the moon is full of colors. Although this one looks too big and not related to geological features, maybe some artefact of the camera?

I would argue that the I in AI is still a misnomer. It has nothing to do with intelligence. Good that you call it by what it is, LLM, it is not AI. And I wonder if it possibly can be without quantum computing. Philosophical question?

Read the story. It is so beautiful, powerful, poetic. I think about it all the time. Years later.

Not sure I understand the part about stealing jobs from Americans. How is Tesla doing that? Again, Musk's behavior is unacceptable, I agree, but why harass Tesla employees and customers in retaliation? That achieves no general sympathy and is besides the point. Teslas aren't harmful, gas cars are.

Ok, so I think a lot of Musk's recent actions and behavior are indefensible and dangerous to democracy and free speech. But why on earth release your frustration against Tesla employees and customers? Many or probably most of which don't agree with Musk politically? That is misdirected and pitiful.

If anyone needed more proof that Elon has become a megalomaniac asshole jeopardizing human civilization, this is it. He doesn't even understand that he just offended an entire nation. He's managed to push people to achieve amazing things technologically but he needs to go back to doing that.

Only a professor of English can say it this pointedly. Thanks for voicing so eloquently what most of us think.

Yes, this is absolutely insane. To me Trump is moving into the territory of treason here. Selling out America, Democracy and our allies. If anyone still needed proof that he is bought by the Russians, this is it.

Nah, I read a book because I am interested in the story. Not because I want to know about a forest. I definitely skip forward in these cases - as I do in movies/series. If the properties of the forest are important to the story then sure. But else it is just baggage.

I pretty much only read fiction. I only read non-fiction for work (aka information) or on weekends during the day. For me reading fiction is easy and reading non-fiction is hard. I basically cannot sleep without having read fiction at night. I guess people are different.

This is very cool. Looks like the picture is rotated 90 degrees on the right? Any idea what these are?

Can you postprocess the spikes out? Since you know the mechanism that makes them this doesn't sound too difficult at first glance.
