I’m hearing early reports that a beast is slouching towards Bethlehem. Many countries are expressing their deep concern at the development and there is currently talk of possibly sanctioning the beast.

In undergrad I took a Russian lit class and the professor asked us if we thought Bazarov from Fathers and Sons was an asshole and everyone replied yes. Then he was like, yeah Turgenev wanted this guy to be like a cool genius. Which is to show, y’know, sometimes authorial intent just doesn’t matter
