It’s not that we can or should ignore what’s going on. But one can’t wallow in it 24x7 with it taking a toll on the psyche. Even in times of war, front line troops will rotate off the line to rest and recover.

The comparison to Napoleon was a little harsh. After all, Napoleon was actually good at his job.

I want to hear anything/everything you're willing to share about your experience with this! :)

I think part of it is how the world platforms changed. More focus on short content; no time/space for longer form buzz/LJ/etc style posts or replies. Hard to rally present your topic or have meaningful discourse when you’re limited to a handful of characters. At least IMHO.

Intro yourself with your top 5 #ttrpg picks. The first 4 are pretty easy: D&D 2300AD Vampire/WOD Shadowrun The last spot is hard. Battletech, if you count that as an RPG. Paranoia, MERP/RoleMaster, or Fading Suns maybe.

A *little* more detail: Looks like it's set to come in the 2027/2028 season to coincide with the first season of the new USL div-1 league and the North American World Cup.

Tacking on another season, without a large chunk of the original supporting cast... I just don't know. I *do* have a lot of faith in the creative team behind the show. And I'll definitely watch, but I'm very nervous about this. #tedlasso

Interesting trade-off: It masks that I'm using Linux. I'd actually kind of like sites to know that. It's important for vendors to realize that we're out here.

Notably: a few pages' layouts have changes just slightly; rarely noticeable as a user. One site that relies on browser-reported timezone info is convinced I'm in GMT (would be nice to be able to make per-site exceptions).

Probably not viable for a large library of one that serves ultra-high res files (4k+). May not work well with a lot of simultaneous users.

Running it "headless", after the initial setup, means that you need to understand a few basic Linux command line actions. But nothing beyond the skills of anyone that's running a Plex server to begin with (regardless of platform).

But also: please report in full. Those were always two of my fav' armies.

Two full-size 40k armies? In this (or any) economy?!?

- Hit 5 Guys for the first time in ~5 years. Damn those are good fries. - Oh yeah, and Work happened. Busy day was busy. (also the character limit on Bluesky continues to frustrate)

- Made a significant breakthrough in a programming side-project I've been sitting on ages. - Received a new Raspberry Pi, got it all set up, and did the first round of data transfers to make it my new Plex server - Did I mention my old server died? It died. Horribly.
