I hope it passes!!

Gaslighting.

You voted for a corrupt sexual predator who assaulted multiple women and even admitted it on tape. What did you think would happen?

Important to know.

I think most people are intuitively aware of this but something like the official White House account posting an “ASMR” video of shackled immigrants is not just cruel for its own sake, it’s intentional envelope-pushing to ramp up to desensitization over inhumane detention, camps, and deaths

From an FDA probationary employee: the firings are coming from outside the agency without cause and with zero input from supervisors (as promised.) More firings expected between now and Tuesday. Do not open the termination email before you download your documents and performance evals.

ATTN probationary feds: if you’re too new to have a performance eval and your sups are friendlies, ask them for an interim evaluation and keep a hard copy.

BREAKING: CFPB probationary employees just received a termination notice without the pertinent information filled out. Click to see all of it.

Great job by Ruben (@rubenbolling.bsky.social).

I'm only 10 minutes into this podcast and I have cold chills. Hugely resonant with my experience in conservative evangelicalism. Looking forward to listening all the way through. Well done, Christianity Today.

Disturbing, but not surprising.

Helpful summary. I find the Christus Victor theory particularly compelling.

He's got a point 😂

Yes. Being moderate doesn't necessarily mean being exactly halfway between two extremes.

so real 😂

Excellent piece. A key component of a conspiracy theory, rather than a regular theory, is that it is non-falsifiable. For any theory that we hold, we should be able to answer the question, "What evidence would prove this theory wrong?" If the answer is "none", then it is probably a conspiracy.

I have a new piece out tonight! A pastor put together a group of flat earthers and globe earthers for a trip this month to Antarctica in order to end the debate about the shape of the earth once and for all. Here's what happened! baptistnews.com/article/when...

The alleviation of women's abuse "is made less likely by the mandated subservience of women by Christian fundamentalists. What is especially disappointing...is the docile acceptance by so many strong Christian women of their subjugation & restricted role." - Jimmy Carter (RIP)

🚨 Special Alert for Federal Workers 🧵 It’s time to prepare for a federal government shutdown, which may begin this weekend.
While you’ll probably be back to work soon, it’s best to treat a shutdown like a lay-off. Assume that Friday will be your last day of work, possibly for several weeks. 1/7

This looks like an excellent read

Reminder: just because Job calls humans "worms" in his lament, and David calls himself a "worm" in a Psalm describing his suffering, does not mean you are a worm. It does not mean God thinks of you like a worm. Jesus says you are "worth more than many sparrows." Bird theology > Worm theology
