Happy year of the snake! In Korea the snake was the god of fertility, abundance, fortune and happiness, and represented immortality, regeneration. We grow heirloom Korean peppers on the roof and save the seeds to plant each year, a cycle of regeneration, fertility and abundance. 새해 복 많이 받으세요!

Painting for @spoke-art.com 12th annual Moleskine show opening saturday Jan 11 in SF. In Korea Haetae 해태 is a creature who is associated w justice and protects against fire ,natural disaster. U see statutes of it outside temples who vulnerable to fire. Has a horn, a bell, and is city mascot of Seoul

Shin Godzilla officially licensed 24x36" screen print Friday July 26th at 12pm EST w Bottleneck Gallery. was a challenge rotating Tokyo so it was accurate. Living in Tokyo helped. Shin is my fav Godzilla movie and Evangelion is my fav anime,Hideaki Anno brought in those elements for a crazy Godzilla
