I should be clear: I *want* the news to take this threat seriously and discuss it, but treating it as clickbait, seemingly for a cross-border ratings grab, is appallingly poor framing.

I know the names of exactly two historical copper merchants: Ea-nasir and Nicolaus Copernicus Sr. (the father of the astronomer, and yes, the name comes from copper).
As far as I know, Copernicus Sr. was an honest one, though.
