Also he played an enormous and I think understated role in normalizing the idea that Republicans don't operate in the national interest and why would anyone expect them to

I'll probably just continue with not bothering to test and determining based on symptoms whether to stay home.

This is 100% correct. I feel the same way about the belief that “the sixties” were tie-dyed and psychedelic. The 1960s were The 1950s, Part Two. What people are remembering is a brief period in roughly 1970-73.

modern society is so divorced from our food sources that most people who eat pop tarts have never actually killed one themselves

Bluesky is offering journalists and newsrooms direct access to this platform. Spread the word. 🗞

Just to add to this, I think JJ Abrams is bad even in comparison to other vapid blockbuster filmmakers like Michael Bay. Rise of Skywalker is bad not just in comparison to other movies generally but it’s bad in comparison to soulless profit hungry movies. It’s bad compared to Transformers.

This is one of the things I try to hammer home repeatedly when I teach bioinformatics. Just because an experiment is being done on a computer doesn't mean it doesn't need proper controls!

All batch correction methods are wrong, but some are useful.
