You don’t think their demand for us to rescind first will impair progress? Can’t imagine Trump wanting to show weakness

Love hearing the take on the markets from an infrequent voice. Means more.

Do you break out tariff cost like the gas surcharge? And, of course, what is the tariff moving target? Will lenders increase your credit lines to pay for stuff on the way? What if people DK their special orders b/c it’s 10-12 weeks out? Does one trim staff? Already at a skeleton crew? Now what?

Clients with”Main Street” businesses have been sharing pretty dire things already. People in D.C. fail to understand how much retail sources from overseas. Furniture from Vietnam, T-shirts from Asia, dresses from China, toys from Europe… people are/have been in panic mode on how to survive this.

It will be interesting to see if they do what is intuitively wise or remain dogmatic in some last vestige to claim a “win”. Also interesting to see down the line what unintended knock on effects we have to deal with.

No signals, but one can “sum of the parts”, right? Not about a holy grail but get some improvement in odds?

Great podcast with Jenny H… also nice chart on earnings bottoming. But that is why one doesn’t rely solely on fundamentals, but also technicals for decision making. Ask JCParets…

In the U.S., the government has broad authority to revoke visas under immigration law with minimal formal process. The State Department or Department of Homeland Security can revoke a visa based on factors like national security, fraud, or ineligibility, without prior notice.- Truth not spin

Pulled this off of X. Seems it’ll take more than a couple months to lock in that breakaway. Nice short term move so far, tho

Are you nuts? The panic selling that could occur in 2025 could actually spike capital gains liability…the drop will be on fiscal 2026 after a washout, if it were to occur…

Kinda makes sense? Heard someone once say recessions first start out psychologically as an attitude change, then morph into reality. Imagine the prospects of tariffs have changed a lot of behavior since the election

Our area seems to be planning for a reduction in school age children. Was a rapidly growing area, but now they are modeling out a decrease in school population due to the birth rates of the last 5years

Is this a major pullback? Or is it a major pullback if one is overweight Mag-7? It isn’t clear to me yet

Even the pairing of Siri with Chat-GPT is a joke… somehow they figured out how to make Chat crappier than going directly to Chat’s app. What a cluster!

I get it. I respect your anti-Elon POV. I’ve never been “big”, so I haven’t really looked for engagement. There’s enough Fintwit over there for it to still matter,IMO.

Idk…being both gives a more balanced view it seems. Nothing else seems to work from a point of observation. This is clearly more blue, and they’re more red…can we get a purple site going or one that blends the two into??

Really hasn’t been a reason to be in it since March’24. But if one hadn’t exited then, the July ‘24 break happened. But if THAT didn’t cure ya, the break in late Oct ‘24 —which was $40 or so ago. Do people not look at or understand charts?

This week is in the 50’s, the charts will be better or worse, the poll will be accurate or not, you’ll tweet, and bumble bee
