Having co-taught DEI workshops (improv), most workplace DEI boils down to "Have some empathy, and don't be a dick." When people get upset at DEI it tells me they are can't change, won't listen & adapt, and are bad at teamwork - which I'm lead to believe are important skills for the workplace.
