I am an advocate in the United States for infrastructure & transportation improvements which will save lives, for not just for the drivers of motor vehicles, but also the most vulnerable road users such as bicyclists, pedestrians and the disabled.

Donald Trump will say that the rain was caused by Joe Biden and his weather control machine.

They got what they voted for, but sadly so did the rest of us.

This is the same Charlottesville where my daughter Rachel was hit on three different occasions by the drivers of motor vehicles while bicycling. One of these times was just weeks after her sister Robyn was killed doing bike messenger work in New York City. Rachel was in the bicycle lane!

I believe that Harris won as well, but in both cases it is water under the bridge.

The Infuriating Conclusion of the NYPD’s Investigation into Robyn Hightman’s Death

For those who do not know the details of my daughter Robyn's life and death, there were two stories in Bicycling about them. Everyday I think of Robyn. Robyn Hightman Found a Life on Bikes. In an Instant It Was Gone

I finished putting the QR codes on the minivan I use for road safety advocacy.

Agree! It should have been Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.

I am working on reinstalling the ghost bike which was on top of my minivan. The years took a toll on it.

Just to be clear, I am not a big fan of Governor Gavin Newsom. For the reasons you cited and his vetoing the Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) bill. See: bsky.app/profile/jay....

I have been quite impressed with your green thumb and love of all your critters.

I was quite upset when California Governor Gavin Newsom vetoed the Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) bill last year. His reasoning it should be implemented on a national level. While I agree with that, California has many unique regulations for vehicle safety. www.gov.ca.gov/wp-content/u...

She should have! Instead we will be living nightmare for the next 1,319 days... Hopefully, there will be some positive change in the mid-term elections, if not sooner.

I truly hope the Republicans loose big in the midterm election!

Generally, I do not refer to him as president. I write Trump or Donald Trump. Also, he also barely won the election.

In the case of Gerardo Marciales Campos. The City of Chicago removed the first ghost bike. The second and third were destroyed by motor vehicles crashing in to them. There is now a forth ghost bike at that location.

Though Donald Trump was not at the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia (where I was living at the time), he might as well have been.

Here in Central Virginia. I often see pickup trucks that would dwarf the SUV in this photo. Who would want a vehicle which requires a ladder to check the oil? Why are these things legal?

We are all now living in the alternate reality. Credit to "The Man it the High Castle" for the base photo.

Unfortunately, more often than not, this is the reality.

Having had one daughter, Robyn, killed while bicycling and three weeks later my other daughter, Rachel, injured while bicycling, both hit by drivers of miotor vehicles, I agree with you.
