FYI, I do try to convince my family, but Fox has destroyed any possibility of a real discussion.
I wish you the best, but I suspect this is going to have to run it's course and much like WW 1 set the course for the last century, what happens well set the tone for this century.

I get it.
What I don't understand is how my own family can believe what they do. The logic is so twisted.
Honestly, I ignore most news, US and Canadian, because Trump comes up and since that's nothing I can do, I just put my head in the sand. I can't even imagine living in the US now.

America, you do have to figure this out. I don't think most of us hate you, but we are disgusted by your government's actions. But while we can apply a little pressure, you are the only ones that can fix it.

I can't speak for others, but I don't want to even travel to the US anymore. I know it's full of nice people (even Trumpers), but the culture just so toxic I just don't want to be there.

I've seen Tourism boards in FL telling us how it's full of good people and to come. Jack Daniels is upset because Ontario has taken ALL American alcohol of the shelves, complaining it's disappropriate. Bottom line is that we only get to vote with money. It's up to Americans what to do.

To Americans, during the first term I made a point of not buying American as a personal protest. Now, Canada is really pissed and they are voting with their dollars as well.

If they don't fix it, Trumpism is going to have to burn itself out and that's going to be a huge problem.
To non-Americans, the fix for this will be slow. Trumpers have bent or broken the system so badly, that's no quick answer.

To those yelling at our allies against Trumpism, I would ask that you have some sympathy for them. They are victims as well.
It's true that Americans need to clean up their mess. But it can't happen quickly. Democrats have to start taking control of gov't at all levels.

As an American living in Canada for 30 years and wise family in the US is MAGA, I don't know what can be done. Too many people believe the lies told in their bubbles. My Mom has complete trust in Fox. She shouldn't but she's not alone. So I'm sympathetic and disgusted by this.

I was out the other night in Toronto and it was all of -2C, which should have been nothing, but the wind really made it awful. I'm not a fan it either.

He didn't care about the million that died during the pandemic. Can't imagine him caring for 10K now, unless they were HIS donors.

While I want to believe this, according to Snopes this probably didn't happen. See www.snopes.com/fact-check/r...

The cloudy, hazy look of this made me think of the artwork from the Who's Quadrophenia album. The subjects are miles apart, but the monochrome mist is no doubt went it came to mind.

I'm hoping O is going to be good. Macbeth was a joy. The goblins were very interactive with the crowd. They had a boom box they couldn't turn off, so they got a woman in the audience to do it and then yelled "witch!"and then got her a glass of wine.

The goblins return in October to do Goblin:Oedipus and I already have my tickets. The first one was amazing, and you don't need to know anything about the original play either.

The swans on the lake are pretty too. If you aren't into "hard core" Shakespeare they do other high quality theatre. We went to a production called "Goblin Macbeth" two years ago, where 3 goblins came up the collected works of Shakespeare and decided to give the good bits edition of the play.

I never found a solution I liked a lot. I tried cropping the guy out of the picture so I could focus on the beautiful icicles and fixture. Of course that changes the composition.
Best of luck with a solution.

A very 60's vibe. It would have been even more so if the boy was on a Vespa!

Antarctica is one the most burrito places in Earth. It was my favorite vacation. A huge surprise for me the quantity of wildlife.

I was once told that the best way to describe Mr. Dress Up to an American is to say "He's like Mr. Rogers without the edge".

I experimented with the saturation and my eye wants to leave a little color in the image. While moving the saturation up, the moss and brick look good, but they become more of the focus. The image below has the saturation set to -46 in Lightroom. That seems to let the icicles pop a little more.

Kind of a related theme. Near sundown I caught this series of shots as the sun reflected off a stop sign. I was fascinated as the reflector beads showed different colors and intensity. The Sun is almost 90 degrees to the front of the sign.
These pics are as shot except for cropping.

The first thing that popped into my head when I saw this was the song "Fairytale of New York" (by the Pogues).
