Dan Moore getting more than Ronnie Stanley shows the power of actually hitting the open market. If you can get a guy signed before the deadline, do it. Retaining your own players is cheaper than shopping for new ones.

Also, a reminder about free agency: -3-year deals are usually 2-year deals. The 3rd year=a team option -4-year deals are usually 2-year deals. The final 2 years=team option --2 year deals are usually a 1 year deal (Year 2=Team option) This is why you see so many guys being cut this week.

As I get older, I think getting someone on your side is far more important than being "correct" You can waste years of your life trying too hard to be correct. Get people on your side so you can make progress and then let them realize you're correct at a later date
