Despite all the drama, it was amazing to bring this to the Mac and Linux

While the Linux community would rather fight with a major GPU vendor at every turn, and ignore and ridicule developers who point out other flaws such as lack of thread priority or major inconsistencies in API's.. nope

Pretty much DID listen to it every day - when the film was out, Radio 1 played it every bloody morning before school! She was an amazing talent though.

Maybe next year I can have an Oric which just produces decent audio out without big faff :)

Dont forget which party did it in the first place!

Of course it could cost zero. We simply use law to take it off the greedy shareholders. If they object, jail them.

I probably wouldnt use it nowadays - cross dev with the likes of vscode and more modern tools like vasm/gcc are too good to be ignored really

We even know who was behind it all. Michelle Mone. Find her, arrest her, jail her, and bankrupt her. And her partner. And anyone she's ever done business with.

Same shit different name, once upon a time it was ATOS, now it's these crooks. I bet they get a bonus for declaring people as able to work even though theyre not!

They look very neat! Personally I wouldn't use the sockets.. i tend to steer clear of sockets unless needed, but still it's amazing how tight the layout is. I'd imagine it draws less power than a 48K too with all the logic being HCMOS...

Ah thats what the burning smell is... ;)

Exactly. The standard library is needed for a good bunch of the language features to work. I've looked at Embedded Rust and half the features are not available without the standard library.

embedded rust.. where half of the language features dont work because the runtime isnt available

This is why I've always bought crucial memory - its always been stable and reliable for me, and on the one time i had where the memory developed a fault, they replaced it directly with no hassle.

Built like a brick sh*t house as we would say in the UK! Before the days of Class D :) Take care with that capacitor bank!

It was total amazeballs at the time. Also remember that typically these would've been viewed on 17" CRT's... often connected by composite video

More likely the store owner is using them. He should be immediately banned for false advertising

Id probably draw the line at a mainboard fault. Power supply sure. Then again I've come across a few sets where the fault is that the flash suddenly fails so it cant start up. Replacing the flash is easy - getting the original contents of the flash is whats impossible.

Thing is, it didnt destroy them.. they just all jumped ship and took over Labour
comment in response to post
it was disgusting they were even allowed to enter eurovision, never mind that they came second. Absolutely disgraceful.. which is why i never watch it.

What does "foreigners" have to do with it ? It's nothing to do with that. The problem is that it was sold to private companies, and they only ever want to make profit. Doesnt matter who owns them.
comment in response to post
thats how not to replace ANYTHING on a circuit board :)

For now. 6 months time, we'll be back in the same place. They will keep pushing and pushing to shut it down until they get their way. What is needed is a legal ruling to FORCE them to keep it open for 5 years before they can complain again.

Labour needs to kick out all of the Tory defectors that it allowed to join

The only EU deal we need to make is re-entry into the EU. Get on with it Labour.

because they're really the Red Tories
comment in response to post
Unfortunately, the current Red Tory government wont do anything about it.. probably because many of it's members are in on the deal.

They helped plenty by stemming the flow at the Eurotunnel. Now they dont bother as "it's England's problem"

No, Brexiteers simply outright lied and used "immigration" as a means to appeal to all the racist xenophobes knowing they would vote for it. Not one of them thought about what France would do in response to us leaving the EU - let them all cross and leave us to deal with it, instead of helping.
comment in response to post
Basically, everything Remainers said would happen, has happened, exactly as we said it would. Brexit needs to be reversed and the people who promoted it need to be brought to account.

Use of AI in acedemia should be dealt with in the same way as they deal with plagiarism.. thats exactly what it is.

Dont lie. Linux can just about handle multimonitor at all... having to deal with handling it when I was porting AAA games to Linux was a nightmare.

reminds me of Dezecrator's chiptunes
comment in response to post
Brexit was just an outright lie by the Tories, and they got it in by appealing to all the dumbfuck racist xenophobes in the country.
comment in response to post
Well yes, indeed.. and yet for some reason people are blaming Labour for it now. There is still a percentage of immigrants though who would NOT be allowed in if they went the legal route.. and those are the ones that still need to be addressed
comment in response to post
See thing is, you guys practically use Mexicans as slaves.. they live in substandard housing and recieve substandard pay.. and often work the most dangerous jobs such as construction. So you've certainly got no right to get on your high horse about how WE handle immigration.
comment in response to post
The problem is as soon as you propose anything to do with immigration which isnt "let everyone in", people accuse you of being racist and xenophobic. As has just happened to me here today.
