Right now I’m leaning toward the Bears taking an EDGE at 10 and going iOL at 39. I just think the gap between EDGEs available at 10 and 39 will be larger than at iOL.

The more I think about it, the more I think the Bears should go EDGE at No. 10. Banks and Campbell just sound like guards to me. If Simmons hadn’t gotten hurt, maybe. But this is supposed to be a deep iOL class and CHI has 39 and 41. Braxton is underrated.

I wonder if Fraley is coming to be the OC? He’s interviewed with SEA and Campbell didn’t mention him as a potential successor. Same for Brunell as QB coach but the Lions might block that.

ICYMI: Bears finished #1. Ben Johnson agrees!

Story on Ben Johnson to the Bears, a pairing of the best offensive mind available and the franchise desperate for a good offense www.nytimes.com/athletic/606...

jeremiyah love before the game: my one promise with my injury is i will not hurdle jeremiyah love in the fourth quarter: LEEEEEERRRRRRRROOOOOYYYYYYYY JENKINS

Fuck if. LISSAN AL CALEB!!!!

Horrendous clock management by Vikings after that chunk play to Hockensen.

Even the Cardinals seemed surprised the Rams punted.

Matthew Stafford flip flopping between heroics and dropped picks is the ideal football viewing experience

Me: Yeah, I guess I have a few things I want to say about that Jesse Rogers article. Me, 2100 words later:

FUCKING PATHETIC

MOTHERFUCKERS

I hate this team

#Bears LG Teven Jenkins (calf) is active today. Inactives for today's game: OL Kiran Amegadjie OL Doug Kramer DT Gervon Dexter RB Travis Homer LB Noah Sewell DB Ameer Speed

#Bears are expected to have Braxton Jones back as the starting left tackle today. Status of LG Teven Jenkins is less clear. Jenkins is questionable with a calf injury and recently had a brief on-field workout for coaches and trainer Andre Tucker.

Oh no Lamar

how is it still halftime

Fucking soft coverage AGAIN on third and long motherFUCKER

Catching up on @overthecap.bsky.social most recent pod. Absolutely unhinged defense of Matt Eberflus. They could not keep him in ‘25. Why keep him the rest of ‘24?

This is what you want out of your rookie quarterback. Caleb Williams' throwing motion is reduced and affected by Alim McNeill's interior pressure, and Williams still throws the perfect stutter-fade ball to DJ Moore over Brian Branch. That's a great throw if you're not pressured at all.

The Bears now have a coveted opening, and expect a wide-ranging search. They'll consider all the top candidates, including Commanders OC Kliff Kingsbury -- whose ties to Caleb Williams are obvious. Plus, Chiefs WR Hollywood Brown is expected back soon.
