Sorry, Watching Scotty Grow is one of my guilty pleasures (not withstanding the fact that guilty pleasures really don't exist - if you like it, you like it). Now, Honey is a different story...

Butler's Western Union Man is great. And his take on Brand New Me (which he wrote) is cool too...

I was only 13, but I had an in at the theater, so I could have seen it if I wanted too. But I chickened out. Too scary looking.

In Philly, three Temple University students were arrested for impersonating ICE enforcement officers on the campus so they could video the interactions and put them on the 'net, so yeah....

Let's not forget Disco Tex and the Sexolettes' "Get Dancing" and Frankie Valli's "My Eyes Adored You." That said, both "I Like Dreaming" and "Love's Grown Deep" are great tunes and you can't change my mind. 😁

Maybe Jersey Journal would have had a better time of it if anyone knew it was there. I've lived in NJ all my life and never heard of it till now. Everyone knows the Star-Ledger, so that's the disheartening one...

That's an interesting one for me. Most songs I loved then, I love now. Most other songs I hated then I love now (I was never one for R&B, can't get enough anymore). Then there are a slight few I loved then but can't stand now. That's one of them. American Pie is another. Ugh.

Yup. Remember it well. Probably due to the reaction up in their hometown of Boston. Problem was the original 73 edited single was awful. When they released the long version in 76 it did much better, though they were better known as well.

People like to be paid a living wage, work for one station and know they won't get canned for no good reason at the whim of corporate. They want to be able to do a good job. iHeart doesn't want any of that, so they keep looking for lowest-common-denominator workers.

I so agree. And I miss the tradition of seeing her sing it every year on Letterman's holiday show (usually the last show before the holiday break).

Love, Corazon. I think it's that combination of pop with Latin, R&B and Jazz that makes it so cool.

I spent a big part of what should have been my retirement savings at the Peaches in Cherry Hill, on this and a lot more. Still have some of my albums in Peaches crates...
