The damn shoes!!! I was just telling my wife about those, what the heck was Geoff doing?
comment in response to post
I completely underestimated how tired I'd be, I thought I dreamed half the games lol. Also, why the heck was all of SGF focused on hiding Geoffy's shoes?

Big takeaways that matter right now: Download the Cairn demo and try it out! Get pumped for Resi 2 and 3 PS1 classics on PS Plus, same with Riven and Myst, it's a good time to be an ageing PlayStation fan.

New Digimon looks very good, as does IOI's James Bond, but I've explained my hesitation there. I think Capcom's new game has a lot of potential, but the company might squander that if it makes bad choices, so we'll see how it goes.

Okay, that was it? Cool. I am pumped for more Silent Hill f. I don't want to see any more of it, just get it to me on release day so I can enjoy it all as blind as possible. Same with MGS3 Delta, I want to be surprised!

I know it's all marketing but I really do hope that Sony genuinely asked ARC to make its own version of a Marvel fighter and was hands off. That's how you get a great game. Hold somethign too tight, and you'll stragle it. Creativity needs air, and this game looks like it breathes

This hits so much harder in Japanese than my awful language, hope it's the default way to play because I am hooked! Sold, sold, sold!

Here we bloody go! Ghost of Yotei! A trailer for a trailer is a great way to piss people off. And right after we get actual Marvel fighting gameplay? Phenomenal, makes Sony look like a joke though. This fighter is gonna be sick!

Okay, this looks almost up to the standard I expected. Of course it's all story right now but I need to see gameplay, moment-to-moment. IOI could nail this, really bloody kill it, or make just another Bond game that's forgettable.
comment in response to post
Nice! Bond game! Okay, wow me.

Saw Myst and Riven too, cool!

Shut up are you giving us the classic Resi 2 and 3 in our catalog at last? How long have we been asking? I'm angry Sony, you could have done this ages ago. Thank you, screw you, let's move on.

We're ALL playing FBC Firebreak right? Also Day 1 on PS Plus Catalgoue? Is Sony actually trying to compete with Game Pass now? Twisted Metal too? Wow, they are.

Jumping on jellyfish, great music, and riding a laser board across the landscape, love it all! Sword of the Sea is definitely for me. Oh Abzu devs? And even PS Plus launch? wow.

I see your pirates and say "just remake AC 4 Black Flag Already". Though this does have good vibes. Fighting kaiju, turn-based combat? Very pretty visuals, and OG Pirates vibes. I am all about this.

Oh another controller? Let's go!

Of course we get more Astro Bot, there's no way Sony was gonna let this game sleep. Any parents out there also seen the robots in Gecko's Garage and how they look and sound very similar? That's all I see now.

Oh I like it! Brink gameplay meets passive multiplayer where you follow someone else's actions. I think this is super unique and interesting. I'll definitely be diving in to check it out.

Tidewalkers. Feel like I've heard that before.

Yea!!! Love Thief, let's go with a canonical reboot and new story!
comment in response to post
This is Thief VR right?

This will be the second game to use the Samurai and Ninja styles to sell me on a game and I'm okay with that. I really don't think it can beat AC Shadows for me though.
comment in response to post
Okay, Nioh 3 looks great, I'm ready to fail at this series all over again.
comment in response to post
They should have fixed some of those animations with MGS3 before remastering it. Also, HOW CAN YOU TEASE METAL GEAR ONLINE LIKE THAT? PLEASE!!
comment in response to post
Sony, mate, the last thing we need is an 'official' Sony fighter controller. We've got more than enough great third-party ones.

A new preservationist game collection? Oh! Mortal Kombat! Yea, I love this but don't know if I'll play it. I remember being in Laser Quest and playing with my mates, but outside of the arcade machines I never really got into these over Tekken.

I love a climbing game, and Cairn was always going to be sick. Giving me a demo today now that I've finished the Hell is Us demo is nice.

I'm sorry, Ninja Gaiden made by Blasphemous devs? Just leave that text on the screen and take my money because I am sold.

Oh I missed the name of the origami game but I know I love the look of it, and the gameplay. And Pac-Man in a golf game? Okay, sure, I'm here for that.

Always happy to see more of Baby Steps. What I will say about this is that as someone who, over the last 7 months, has had to adjust to his right-hand side not working properly and gaining a limp and a cane (not had to use it yet), I'm seeing this game differently.

Classic FF Tactics and enhanced in one package, definitely the way to go. I've been getting more into Final Fantasy as someone who has barely played any of the games and a staunch FF7 The First Soldier fan, so I think I need this.
comment in response to post
I hear FF noises.

New Digimon seems to be hitting the right balance with gameplay and story like Digimon Survive did but without being an actual visual novel. Same as The Hundred Line, I think it could be a big sleeper hit.

Alright, I can slow down a bit. Silent Hill f, I have thoughts, many thoughts, might write them up in full, but the evolution of the nurses is absolutely perfect for the setting. Extremely well done.

Also the Luminies game, pitch perfect for this year, very very cool. Capcom's Pragmata is a game I've been excited for since I saw it's tech demo so I was already sold, and a new Bloodstained? Amazing.

Okay, Suda51's Romeo and Juliet and Zombies looks sick, really can't wait to play that. Very much PS3 banger vibes, but here for it.

Something I should really have added earlier. I am absolutely free for all the big game events from June 6 onwards and have no plans for the weekend. Yes, I can be that workhorse and I'll even thank you for the extreme writing.

And you're definitely not ready for it. I'll stop now, and if you'd like to prevent my crimes against games journalism on YouTube, give me writing work to stop me (it involves a costume, steering wheel, and absolutely bonkers chatter).

For me pitching you unhinged/creative angles that I guarantee will do you numbers or at the very least get people clicking to question your sanity for letting me write them. I'm actually going to push more into content creation while I have the time....

Also, I'm okay. I've emotionally dealt with this and am in a good spot of being practical. I'm focused on lining up future work, whatever that looks like, and I'd love to keep on writing as much as possible. This won't stop me, nothing can stop me, so keep an eye out...

Something I want to make very clear is that TrueGamingNetwork has been extremely supportive and kind throughout this whole process. They're really helping me out as much as possible, and I'm extremely grateful for that. They'd keep me if they could...
