Starmer needs to rethink before it’s too late. Cutting disabled people’s benefits does not encourage them into work! If the welfare budget is rising then make it tighter for future claimants not existing ones. He doesn’t need to force a vote. But if he does it will be a blow to his leadership

Well the USA transitioning to fascism won’t help that. America is too subservient to the rich. The American dream is basically ’yeah I could be rich’. ‘Let’s cut taxes for them and cut help for poor people’

This Tory-lite gov needs a good rebellion. Cutting welfare is NOT a Labour policy.

Congrats USA you have a king who operates by Royal decree(!) Shouldn’t Congress or the Senate have had a vote on it?

This Labour government needs a good challenge at the moment as all their policies are just Tory-lite!

Even business people from Europe are now wary of travel to US and carry a burner phone and a clean laptop.

Nationalise Thames water but the tax payer should not pay the debts. Let the Banks and Lenders pay for Thames water which was just a Ponzi scheme to raise loans and give to its shareholders and directors.

‘You can not attack even legitimate military targets if it would involve a significant loss of civilian life’ so says the Geneva Convention as Lord Sumption says. Israeli Government is guilty of this and more.

Great reporting. Boston Consulting Group allegedly charging $1 million a month to set up this sham aid to Gaza organisation! Disgraceful.

Great job Krisnan on keeping cool and yet exposing the Israeli Government outright lies and false footage of gunmen used to cover IDF shooting many people trying to get aid. They are starving before Our eyes. David Mercer used to be director of Labour Friends of Isreal.

Whilst I don’t agree with Keir Starmer I’m not sure he is saying that.

Very good reporting on the whole issue of the tradegy in Gaza. Lord Sumption is so clear that this looks very probably like Genocide. The fractious interview with Israeli spokesperson David Mercer; it was good he was challenged. The truth is worth struggling over.

Love the US reporting on CH4 News. Good to expose the absolute shambles of the US ‘aid’ firm which is being used as a fig leaf to cover Isreal blocking all aid to starving people in Gaza.

This was very good to see some people in Isreal protesting the death of women and children in Gaza. Israelis don’t see the harrowing coverage we see.

The Government should take back Thames Water and just make the directors and board personally liable for the £16 billion debt or just make the banks pay it as water companies have been used to borrow money and give it to shareholders. The UK tax payer should not pay.
Good reporting CH4 News

Parliament could block them in a heartbeat if it had the will to. But restricting them and regulating them is a better way probably.

A very good critique of the inaccuracies in the book. Sounds like a catalog of errors and made up quotes from someone who wants to see foxes and pheasants killed (illegal in Uk) everywhere and denying walkers and swimmers access to the land.

Some people are just being snatched and deported without any process. Judges say stop and they are ignored or arrested! Just imagine USA goes into economic depression and you had to go as an ‘illegal’ to work in Mexico or Canada. How would you like to be treated?

What are you saying? I doubt anyone will be investing in US as tariffs might change tomorrow

The rule of law is under real threat in USA just like everything else Trump is doing. Soon USA will be isolated. America not first but America alone.

Here’s hoping. It will be good for our business and hopefully travel for you people. We shouldn’t wait for any deal from the USA, they aren’t trade partners of UK anymore.

Patrick Galbraith book Uncommon Ground is arguing for the right to hunt foxes and shoot pheasants. He wants to restrict the right to roam on the spurious ground that he thinks all walkers come down from London. All on the basis of he enjoys hunting and shooting!

When Gorka does interviews in the UK he is extremely short tempered and rude to the presenter. And you can see the authoritarian state capture here that anyone who questions the Trump regime over legal rights is labelled as ‘aiding terrorism’ this is dictatorship.

Judging by the comments here; This is where the Trans activists went wrong. Don’t attack women for wanting Women only spaces. It’s not how the Lesbian and Gay movement won legal acceptance. Describing anyone who disagrees as a ‘transphobe’ is why there has been pushback and legal clarification.

It’s not the case that you HAVE to refer to someone by the pronoun they might want. They can describe themselves as a woman but they are still biologically male. Taking hormones does not re write your DNA or XY chromosomes. Maya and others lost their jobs for simply stating the truth.

Toby Carvery chopped down that ancient oak! What a terrible act of vandalism. The Toby Carvery haven’t done themselves any favours in terms of their public image.

The US now has a pre Magna Carta king who can deport anyone he doesn’t like and ignore the law.

What the hell do you think is happening in the USA under Trump? You’ve got a full on authoritarian regime attacking the free press and destroying freedom of speech in universities, wrecking the world economy and the rule of law. Is that bad enough for you?
comment in response to

Well that’s freedom of speech for students and academics at universities in the US gone too. Trump is turning one of the greatest democracies into an authoritarian regime. That freedom is the wellspring for American innovation and tech. So that leadership will go too.

It’s an elected coup. Now Trump has power he is trashing the rule of law, human rights, foreign policy, world trade. US is now a banana republic. All US soft power is gone.

THE Greek terms are just multiplying by 1 so have no effect. Fake maths. Boeing US aircraft has parts from all over the world including British engines and Chinese vertical fins Japanese flaps and Korean tailpieces. The cost of US aircraft are going up enormously with tariffs.
