If you played both Gaiden, Pirate, then looked at IW, it’s clear that factors like returning assets were given the bare minimum of attention in order to showcase the new stuff like Sea Dog + Agent & even then, it’s still barebones. It’s not a wonder why PC mods get created to add more to it
