We lost power 2 lightning strikes in. I had two glorious hours of “I can’t do anything, the powers out”.

except if it’s against me as a result of my actions.

Yup! Don’t forget to close the vents in the winter or bring 5L of water in the summer. The only reason some of us survived is because of the tiny fan. I wasn’t trained on RHD so I’ve never driven one.

I think my province might be for sale. Do I put a transfer in now to beat the rush? Just kidding..ish.

I’m frustrated that I can’t take cash or debit and that we still have to manually enter personal information. The people without a credit card might not have transportation. But the batteries are good 😁😏

Sheesh! I didn’t know that!
Those vans have two modes in Canada. Oven and icebox.

That’s a good point. I’m part of a private sub and vented there a bit. I did receive a lot of support.

25,000 new PDT’s and programming. Lots of issues with those. It costs thousands for new employees to be trained but only 30% stick around because they’re sitting at home waiting for a call or can’t finish a route. Always hiring. Injury insurance premiums would be up there too.

Same here! Reckless spending and refusing to diversify CP services should be grounds for a change.

They have been given several options to make additional revenue and have completely refused any and all advice or alternatives to decisions at every point all the while claiming they take feedback seriously. The failings of CP are 100% on who's running the show and the choices they have made.

Well I hope you’re right, but the Reddit comments about us by real people are grim.

Hi fellow postie! I for one like this move. CP has villainized us for mail disruptions and the public is mad. CP tried to rush the last offer through. This buys CUPW time to evaluate the offer and counter. CP might lock us out and then disruption would be on them. Plus 1 more day of pay for us. ✊

We had plenty of temps available today. There was zero mail disruption and no management drama. Our depot runs like a family and none of that changed.

Thank you for this! It’s been awful to watch all media take the corporations side. I appreciate people like you who know what’s going on.

They are making the job even more dangerous and all my coworkers have had hip, knee, shoulder, ankle, elbow and wrist injuries or surgeries. Not to mention concussions and dog bites. Take that Canadian flag off your name. You’re a class traitor. 🫡

We are the ones making purchases from small businesses. Just say you don’t support unions and working class citizens. Just say you support capitalism. We care deeply for all the businesses we serve but our bodies are breaking down and we haven’t received proper compensation with inflation.

Hi letter carrier here. Can you tell me who the more reliable carriers are? I’m about to walk 20 km with approximately 3 pieces of mail per house. Is it the working class citizens that you’re attacking here or the corporation?

The offer just went out yesterday. It would be impossible for there to be a response yet.

Thanks! I love walking in the community I work in. It’s a physical but lovely job. Supportive citizens are really uplifting during a difficult time for us posties.

Anyway support unions. And that includes Canada Post

Canada Post has been working hard to spread misinformation to sway public opinion and pit the people against the workers… if you haven’t already I’d highly recommend reading this statement made by CUPW made during their last strike attempt www.reddit.com/r/CanadaPost...

Hi! Thanks for this! I’m a postie and we usually only see angry posts about the strike these days. Appreciate you.
