I won't ride for any politician, they should all be afraid of being tossed into a literal dumpster, but the only person who looks remotely palatable and capable of delivering the 72 oz. Gigantor Government I want is the Khan

It should go without saying, but the "empathy is bad" belief only makes a jot of sense if you're a deeply damaged person who's incredibly aggrieved at the world around you.

The eps lost me the most when all the people were out celebrating his victory. I totally buy him winning an election (a recall no less!), but NYC nightlife having that much of a reaction?

It takes more than tech skills to be a technologist working in govt. You need enough policy & legal knowledge to understand risks and people skills since the work involves a lot of collaboration and trust-building. DOGE has no interest in such skills because it does not want to fix or build.

The biggest reason why I dislike the idea of respectability in dress is because it conflates the *appearance* of virtue with *actual* virtue. Wearing a suit doesn't make you respectful, intelligent, or capable, just as wearing a leather jacket doesn't make you rugged.

"Look we just need to feed some people to the bigotry Moloch" is a position that one could entertain. But if that's your position, say it with your fucking chest.

It's kind of interesting that the mile is getting more slots in pro meets, it's generally been limited in recent decades in favor of the 1500.
