I am getting really sick of the endless Nazi references about what is happening in the U.S. right now. People need to quit obsessing about World War II and start obsessing about their own history, which explains almost everything happening with Trump and team today.

Democrats should be organizing massive protests in front of the White House, engaging in active civil disobedience, getting all those people who wrote postcards in October to engage in community actions now to demonstrate resistance, creating an Underground Railroad for migrants, etc.

Precedent is fake. Useful as a legal concept, perhaps. But outside of courts, bad people do bad things if they have the power to. Sometimes they refer to past action. Often, they don't even bother. The idea that you necessarily bind future actors by not doing something is mysticism, basically.
